I don't see what the problem is with Pavlik taking this fight. He said weeks ago that he wanted to fight PWill on the 19th instead of the 5th so his hand could have more time to heal. Team PWill said whatever and moved on. He's fighting Martinez because he didn't want to wait a few more weeks for Pavlik. Is Kelly supposed to sit on the sidelines forever? I don't get why people think Pavlik is scared of a welterweight who's unproven at 160. If Kelly doesn't mention Paul's name after the Espina fight then it's fair to rip him. If Paul would've agreed to the Dec. 19 date, he and Pavlik would be fighting. But he wanted to move on, so Pavlik now has no choice to move on.

HBO said the 19th wasn't available. Top Rank confirmed this. Where would Pavlik and Williams fight? on Top Rank pay-per-view? Take out the HBO license fee of 3.2 million and there isn't enough money to make that fight.

Up to now, Paul Williams has not show nothing !!! Why this guy dont stay in a division for 18 months and unified the 4 belts and then go up in weight and fight pavlik or whoever is the champ at middle weight. Today the verb UNIFY is the most avoidable things to do. The same with Chaw Dawson, why fight for the WBC belt again, why dont go for the WBO, IBF, and WBA UNIFY !!! As a man and a boxing fan, this decision offends me. Pavlik's camp agreed to october and the december 5 it wasnt some forced one sided decision. Pavlik even if you are a huge fan has to look like a ***** for this one there is no other way to see it. He was in limbo until he miraculously healed once pw signed another contract? what? weak as hell and insulting the boxing public's intelligence. Sounds to me like they were pushing for the fight so that Kelly went into the fight not 100%.PW's team no nothing about putting themselves in Pavliks shoes.PW team sound like unprofessional jerks...spank butt..lol
