Be cause PW has been traning for a fight at 160 and Martinez is no push over at 154....advantag always goes to the bigger name. If Quintana can beat PW then so can Sergio..middle weight or not

People complain to much, PWill is making the best out of a bad situation props to him for trying to take on though comp even if it is on short notice. Its only 6lbs, does anyone know if Martinez can even make 154lbs in 30 days?

Williams is the man. I remember when he couldn't get a fight after the Quintana rematch and randomly moved to 160 and flattened fringe contender Andy Kolle in one. Other fighters probably would have found a soft touch at 147, maybe even a division below. Martinez is a very interesting opponent style-wise but I doubt he wins. Williams has his flaws but after all that he's been through, he'll be looking to take it out on whoever stands in front of him.

              ????? 160?

He prolly can. If he normally meets the limit of 154, he prolly walks around at 160 or so anyways, so I think making 160 would be quite easy and comfortable for him.

This is the first time Williams has made somebody move up in weight. That is not as bad as what some boxers do. Hopkins and Mayweather have been the kings of that here lately. And now Cotto is starting to follow suit.

Win win for Martinez then, Even if he loses he would still have the WBC belt back at 154. Maybe he said he would rather fight williams at 160( Didnt read the article).
