against who? The biggest name he fought was a cheater who fights in slow motion with loaded gloves. And we all know how that turned out!

Its a good fight matchup wise though. SM will look to walk PW and potshot him all night. But if the cheater got to him then I think PW will eventually get to him.

Then why is Pacquiao able to compete at 140 and 147 with his equally short reach but smaller body frame? See how it works? What I'm saying is Cotto is gonna get credit for beating a guy outside of his natural weight division while Williams will get bashed for it just because Pacquiao is ranked higher P4P. And Williams wouldn't be making a guy move outside of his comfort zone if Pavlik had went to his scheduled doctor appoitments. Cotto and Floyd have went out of their way to do it while other opponents their size or bigger would've been glad to fight them.

I guess I thought you were saying that Martinez would lose because he has been through less, experience-wise than Williams. I now see that I misunderstood, assuming that you meant all the crap he has been through trying to get a fight signed, lol. My bad.....

By the way, it was Martinez's 18th pro fight...he now has over 45 fights, much more experienced it won't be easy

So Williams was desperate to fight Clottey - a welterweight - at 154. But he wants Martinez - the champ at 54 - to come up to middleweight.

            Someone please explain?

how you know martinez didn't want it at 160 so he could keep his belt at 154?

The same reason Urango was willing to fight Berto at 147, a paycheck and keep his belt at 140. And why Pavlik didnt mind fighting Hopkins at 170.

The article states that Martinez "had no problem" with the fight being at 160 which implies that Williams' team were the one stipulating it.

Obviously Martinez is willing, I just dont get why Williams wants it at 60? But he was willing to make 54 for Clottey? Even though Martinez has a belt?

Quintana beat:gay: Williams, I think Sergio is much better than Quintana, Williams may get a big surprise on December 5, Do not think it will be a piece of cake that Williams will beat Sergio; everything may turn in a different direction.
