Clottey should've took the money. It's more than he made in his last fight. I hope he doesn't think he's the attraction because he's not.

I don't know why he's talking about not enough training time. He was training for Quintana on the same date so there shouldn't be a big deal.

The only thing that makes the the Clottey fight interesting is Williams' presence.

Williams-Clottey is a main event. Clottey vs anyone else is an undercard bout.

Clottey is making as much to fight Williams as he did to fight Cotto. And the relative overall commercial substance of the PW/JC is lower than MAC/JC.

Also, keep in mind that Williams has already been hard done by Team Pav. He has been sitting far too long. Meanwhile, Clottey had a payday a few months ago.

In sum, I see $650K as very fair. If JC gets a bit more, then fine. But I do not see Williams/clottey as 50/50.

If someone low balls Paul Williams its called ducking/fear. If Paul Williams low balls someone its called the other guy don't deserve more. Yet Williams can't draw **** himself either.

Like several others pointed out. WHO is paul Williams? Williams hasnt made any money in his career either. its a lowball offer if Williams, WHO is less of a name than clottey, gets double the $$$.

              Either or.

He wants more money to take a short notice fight, moving up to Williams' weight.

Or push the fight back so he can get a full camp and he'll beat his arse for 650k

exactly...its probably the most money he's made in his career for any fight...

and like you said, he already had a fight scheduled for that same day....now i could understand if they're asking him to fight 2 weeks earlier than previously scheduled, but come on, its the same damn date.....

either tell your trainer to fly his ass back over here, or STFU about how nobody wants to fight you.....

Yeah..i think its possible clottey could be ducking..

Only because he probably wants another win on his record at this point... Suffering another loss would banish him to gatekeeper status permanently.. so its long term gain against short term gain.

Clottey is a good solid opponent that holds his own at WW. We've never seen him take a whoopin in any of his losses and these were against ''elite'' fighters, if the man has performed at this level against Margarito and Cotto give him the time he needs to train for the fight with Pwill and see what he does. It's a tough task for both fighters and it seems like people here have doubts about both. Get this fight together the right way so no man can have any complaints and see what questions we get answered and what doubts about them they can erase.

Exactly! I remember Williams camp saying 1.5m offer from Pavlik was too low! Wtf?
