For that much money (the highest payday in his career!) Clottey should be ashamed of himself if he passes on the offer.Last edited by Blue Heffner; 10-29-2009, 05:04 PM.

You guys are missing the point.
He isn't saying that 650k isn't good enough money, he's saying that it isn't enough money for SHORT NOTICE against a guy like P WILL!.
Seriously, If he were just looking for a pay day, sure. But this is a fight he actually wants to WIN, and if he had a longer training camp, 650k wouldn't be an issue (which is what he said)
But 650 isn't enough to get him to take a short notice fight against a guy who was already in the gym planning a MW title bout.

Maybe its faking Pwill that won't fight him. He knows Clottey is no joke. He fears a reprise of the first Quintana fight. Only this time he might get stopped.

Where are the Williams haters at in this thread except for Dirt Diggler and Chicano 79? You can't defend what Clottey is doing right now. And not only that, HBO is getting ready to swap Paul's date with the Diaz-Malinaggi fight. So Clottey should have zero excuses where preparation is concerned.
And why does Clottey deserve more than 650 k when Williams has beaten better opposition and is a higher priority by HBO? His ***** ass needs to take whatever is thrown his way and be happy with it.

if you read clotteys trainer just left to africa, so now he would have to fly back and train.
if clottey had 8 weeks to train, he would take the 650k.
clottey needs time to come down in weight, incase you didnt know he is a heavy WW
have Paul offer him more
have Paul move the date back
like Paul is the promoter or the network.
wake up Paul has no more say in the money or the date than Joshua does in demanding more
if he doesn't want the fight then say it and stop making overtures about money this and not enough time that when you yourself say you will fight anyone at anytime
check it
if he REALLY wants to fight Paul then why would he demand one or the other?
if its really about money then no date would be good enough right?
if its really about preparation then why would he demand more money to take the fight on Dec 5th?
he is just being acting like a star when he clearly isn't
