Yes, I've also been pulled up for different offense, and was let go with a warning. It also depends on how you carry yourself during these situation. If a cop see that you are not really a bad guy, most cops will be chill about it. But like I said, it really depends on how big the violation you committed is.

True, that. If you start complaining, ranting and raving, you will definitely get a ticket. Some people don't understand, not all cops are dicks (but, many are, lol). The cool ones will sometimes cut you some slack if you're cool with them.

It depends on how you are treated.
If a cop respects you as a person and de-escalates the situation, people react calmly.
If they act like a$$holes people are not going to give them any respect.
Cops just need to treat everyone the same until something happens where they need to act differently.Comment

Wrong. Sometimes you have to be the bigger person and swallow your pride to live another day. Lotta time, if a cop acts like a jackass to you but you respond with kindness, then the officer will correct his/her attitude. Just because a cop is being disrespectful, doesn't mean you have to do the same. That's the mindset of a person who wasn't raised right.

That is good. I am happy that the officers showed you some leniency and mercy. I am surprised they just didn’t give you a warning.
What are you even talking about. I received a ticket for going over 100mph and had to take a driving class. No jail.
I was pulled over for street racing during my teens. Received a ticket and license suspended. No jail time.
I was pulled over a DUI, this case, I was taken to jail.
So once again, it depends on how severe the violation is.
A lot of that has to do with one’s demeanor, attitude and conduct towards the arresting officer. If you show them respect then they will most often show you respect.
Remember that the police has very broad and discretionary powers when it comes into enforcing the law.
So being courteous, respectful and polite will go a long way with them.

I can share my opinion on what I think about your level of consciousness as a Black man - without being afraid that you're from Baltimore. I think your levels are lacking. You take care.
GTFOH! How did you hear about it? Were you there? Did you picket the cop station with your protest sign? Did you write your congressman in outrage? Black cops murdered a Black man, so the racism claim doesn't apply in that case, nor is it parallel to Crawford's case. I grew up in the city and suburbs of Bmore careful, MD, chief. Trying to tell me about my level of consciousness as a Black man! LOLComment

The irony is that Boxingscene wouldn’t dare broach this topic on their YouTube channel with a ten foot pole! I guess it’s too controversial for streaming.Comment

The police officer said he was driving recklessly. MEGA said he was running stop signs and red lights.
Playing the race card is a a fake term used by people when they get fairly called out for disparate treatment based on race.
You have no proof he was driving erratically. You say you want to see the video but each time you mention this you make a definitive statement that he was driving erratically. You don’t even say alleged, giving him the same guilty until proven innocent standard you extend to different people.
You don’t even realize how bigotry is impacting your opinion and hypocrisy.
The mayor and chief already said all men in car were legally allowed to carry. No crime has been committed. No firearm was used in committing a crime in this instance. So stop playing yourself:
No drugs or alcohol involved. You can hear his security detail tell the cops he had a gun on the video from inside the car.
You literally have no leg to stand on my dude. Nothing you posted applies to this stop.
What you dodged, not surprisingly, was if he was running red lights and stop signs as alleged, why haven’t the mayor or chief or the cops just said so?
IF that’s what really happened (as I have said in several posts already, I don’t have to spell out “allegedly” every time) then the cop was justified in what he did. He was stopping a vehicle driving erratically in the middle of the night coming from who knows where doing who knows what and then there’s a firearm on the floorboard as well.
I sure as hell would make everyone get out of the vehicle under the cover of my gun until I found out exactly what was going on. Regardless of the race of anyone involved. It’s not racist to do that, that’s what cops are supposed to do. And having a permit for open carry doesn’t change any of that.

Exactly. This is so obvious it should go without saying.
The only way the police officer is in the wrong here is if he was lying about Crawford driving recklessly.👍 1Comment

Agreed if he was driving erratically. The video will tell us.

Sorry dude but the gun is a non issue in an open carry state. The gun is not what caused the reaction.
My guess is you, nor many cops, would do this if the 4 men in the car were wearing Trump gear. It’s the fake fear thing that too often gets justified.
You’re flat out wrong. It’s an open carry state. You do t have to find out what is going on. The laws don’t require this.
It’s racist to do it if you use the color of the car occupants as the reason for your actions.
Nebraska doesn’t require a permit to carry. In some counties you need a permit to purchase.
Your argument just keeps falling short given the laws in Nebraska. At some point you need to admit the gun isn’t the issue here.😞 1Comment
