  • It's hard to say usyk is the best ever heavyweight because he's not cleaned out the top ten yet. It's important usyk does that, as usyk beating fury is supposed to be really good win. But fury himself has beat very few in the top ten himself.......Ajit and parker.mightve beat fury too
So best ajit, parker, ajagba, and maybe even Fabio wardley. Then we are talking

That's what you need to do with less than great fighters, which is my point.

All of those fighters are better than Chazz Witherspoon & Derek Chisora, who Usyk struggled with.
And... you said Usyk wasn't mowing down Fury, Joshua and Dubois like Tyson would.

I presented to you that Tyson didn't mow down his decent opponents. He typically decisioned them or lost.

We've gone back and forth and now you're trying to undo that opinion. You probably should have just acknowledged that the statement was incorrect.

These were usyks introduction to the division so he can be excused for not being at his best at this point. Not everyone's an Inoue, who can step straight to the title holders.

Berbick was a HW champion, much better than Witherspoon or Chisora.

          Tyson mowed him down.

Michael Spinks was a top 5 fighter of the '80s

          Tyson mowed him down.

Holmes was the longest reigning champion since Louis & went on to fight for another decade at a high level, including giving Holyfield all he could handle 5 years AFTER fighting Tyson.

          Tyson mowed him down.

I agree, but if people are going to argue he's the GOAT, then he has to be Inoue PLUS.

But id put it down to an.off night really. Put that chisora in with.usyk now, chisora might not last 12 rounds

              • Nobody's resume stacks up to Ali's. He beat 3 top 10 ATG HW's which is ridiculously stacked for one man, on top of that he beat too many HOF's to name and had almost 20 title defences and was a 3 time undisputed HW champ. All of that after losing 3 of his prime years.

There is Ali, and then the rest.

                • Its wild that these new kids are claiming Usyk is better than Ali. Its even funnier cause they must believe that the fighters Usyk beat are better than or have the resumes that Alis best opps have. Most of the guys Ali beat, not saying all, are hall of famers themselves and deservedly in the IBHOF.

I like Usyk a lot and hes proven to be the best of the crop, which is a lil better than the crop wlad faced imho. But lets not pretend the guys he fought are great.

Not he, nor anyone else in the sport, will ever have the same impact on lives, pop culture — anything — as Ali has.
There's no comparison, and he lost his best years do to in the process.

                    • Pretentious fanboys want to pretend Ali never lost and was invincible when he was thoroughly beaten several times in his prime.
