  • Sorry Ali fans, Usyk has replaced him as “The Greatest” Heavyweight.

We are all nostalgic, but we have to be objective too.

    Comparing Usyk to Ali boxing-wise
-Athletes far bigger/stronger in modern era, boxing more globalized
-Olympic gold, World Championship gold, World Cup silver vs just Olympic gold
    -GOAT Cruiserweight career
-Moved up to HW and destroyed Joshua 2x, Fury 2x, Dubois 2x as a MUCH smaller man
-Won most of his fights on the road in enemy territory vs mostly U.S. for Ali
-Undefeated at 38 vs Ali’s multiple losses (Frazier, Norton, Holmes, etc) and gifts (Young, Spinks, etc)

Comparing Usyk to Ali outside the ring
-Usyk is always respectful, never trash-talks even when disrespected. Ali often taunted opponents, made inflammatory racial remarks, deeply hurt good people like Frazier and hurt their children too.
-Usyk is a true family man who never committed adultery or disrespected women, especially his wife. Ali was a serial adulterer, hurt many women.
-Ali was a hero to his people, but so is Usyk, who is a hero to not only the Ukrainian army and people, but to all of Western Europe and the entire Free World against Russian tyranny.
-Ali was constantly boastful and called himself great. Usyk is never boastful, never calls himself great, instead gives ALL glory to Jesus Christ.

As a boxer, as a man, Usyk is as close to perfection as it gets. He is a better ambassador and role model for boxing than Ali could ever be. He’s the kind of guy that young athletes should model themselves afterwards. He’s the epitome of conquering evil with good, and going high when others go low.

He is “The Greatest” boxer, but he would never say that of himself.

The legend of Oleksandr Usyk is just beginning.

Yea, a certain demographic will never admit this. But Usyk is better than Ali.

-Usyk is always respectful, never trash-talking even when disrespected. Ali taunted opponents, deeply hurting good people like Frazier, who actually did many things for Ali in his life. Hurt their children too.

He is Christ-like, he is risen.

He is The Greatest Heavyweight of all time, but he would never say that of himself.

The legend of Oleksandr Usyk continues.
All facts. Anyone who denies it at this point is just silly.

I can't say he's the greatest ever, hasn't been at heavy long enough...

...But it's hard to argue he's not the best ever.

No one beats him, in history.

Ali was the greatest not just for his accomplishments in the ring. That doesn't even amount to half the story. Ali was a special human being. I can scarcely think of anyone on his level in any field, let alone boxing. Say for the sake of argument Usyk is a superior heavyweight. Not he, nor anyone else in the sport, will ever have the same impact on lives, pop culture — anything — as Ali has.

Usyk is great no doubt, but NO. Ali is the greatest. No need to tarnish Usyk and make him hated by making these silly comments.

I actually think Ali has better resume so i d stick with Ali as Goat. But I actually think usyk knows more about boxing and could teach me more than Ali and in that sense is better.
As it's resume for the reason id stick with Ali as goat, if usyk can beat kabayel and parker, and zhang a and Fabio wardkey, i d put usyk above Ali

Usyk is the better fighter and better role model. To deny it anymore is just being silly.

No way Usyk is a better Heavyweight boxer or personality than Ali. Although he’s the best of the CURRENT era, guys like Chisora, Dubois or Joshua wouldn’t last a day with the likes of Liston, Foreman or Frazier. Only Fury could and even then he’d probably lose plus he only lost a SD to Usyk the first time.

However, Usyk could definitely hang with Ali and the legends of his era and probably BEAT some of them.
