It's not too surprising Turki had designated as "Saudi ambassador" or w/e Sheeraz was/is is being positioned to take some of Canelos shine now that's he's almost 15 years at championship level and almost 70 fights deep...
Ummmmm this was supposed to be a bounce back fight for sheeraz, even the entire theme of this fight between them was all about Berlanga. Hamzah was an afterthought and barely got any push so how are they getting opportunities/favoritism when he was supposed to be a lamb sent for the slaughter. It was pick gone wrong for Berlanga which is the truth of the matter.

The old welterweight is gonna smack him in a few months.

The fight was even money. Smart money expected Sheeraz to outpoint Berlanga, not flatten him.

Not sure about that. Berlanga started off as a slight favorite but by fight time he was the underdog. I threw a few bucks on Sheeraz by stoppage and was not surprised by the outcome. No disrespect to Adames but Sheeraz was weight drained.

I didn't know being a welterweight and then fighting a guy with 9 fights is the bridge to undisputed at 168? A lot of you are hyped for that but then now want to claim a 168lber isn't deserving. It's a weak division so i think Sheeraz should get the shot because who else is there? Munguai Berlanga 154 Charlo and Bud all get shots but now Sheeraz potentially getting a shot is a problem?

I kind of see it the same way. Turki will just do whatever TF he wants. Sheeraz is clearly his favorite so he will continue with the exposure and opportunities that other fighters do not get. Having said that, I think a lot of people are re-evaluating Bud's chances against Canelo after last night. It is now clear that Canelo has definitely lost a step or two and could be right for the taking. He could not do to Berlanga what Sheeraz did with ease.

Crawford could be the new undisputed champion at 168 and so if that happens, what next? Crawford will probably retire. Will Canelo vs Sheeraz make sense? I have a feeling Canelo will pick an easier fight.

Mbilli and Pacheco are more deserving than Sheeraz/Crawford/Charlo/anybody else at or around 168.
