As a fan. Netflix is cheaper.

But as a promoter. These guys are crazy.
They are paying out 200 million in guaranteed contracts. Yoi would think they would want some ppv backend

$80 ppv × 1 million ppv buys....thats 80 million that they are leaving on the table.

        But oh well

Well, it is better than Tyson vs Jake Paul, but not so sure it'll break those records

The casuals on Netflix don't know Crawford and heard a bit about Canelo.

Most statistical distributions fit a bell shaped curve and likely this is no different. If you have ppv sales on the y axis and price points on the x axis you'd see that sales are being lost.
Mind you, each fight would have a different shaped distribution curve. In that sense there's definitely less people prepared to pay good money for a Shakur fight than a Tank fight - at least until possibly a few years time Shakur is still unbeaten and every fan tunes in to see him lose - proven market winner
Pirate here. I'm watching less boxing now than I can ever remember. Boxing used to be a weekly thing for me. "What good fights are on this weekend?" Now it's "Will there be any good fights this year?" Even for free, I'm not watching. The next fight I'm looking forward to is more than a month away....and it's women's boxing (Taylor Serrano 3). I'm not sure where this sport goes from here.

I host a lot of boxing events at my home. Paul/Tyson is not my cup of tea but many wanted to see it so I hosted. It was a disaster because Netflix crashed, half of the people left and we had to watch the event on a 30 minute delay.

I still enjoy a good evenly matched fight at lower levels. Comparing things with how they used to be is a losing proposition in that we almost always look back and remember the good but not the bad. I gave up hoping my life would drastically improve, now I enjoy the small things and work on small improvements. Regards fights - Mayweather and his focus on being unbeaten is to blame a lot for not getting the best match-ups as fighters like Tank and Canelo are currently not taking risks and making huge money - and that in turn feeds down to the next generation of fighters
                      Usyk-Dubois
                      Taylor-Serrano
                      The whole Berlanga-Shheraz card
                      Canelo-Bud
                      Inoue-M.A
                      i'll watch all
