I don't know whether that was because they felt the same sick feeling in watching it as I did, or whether they just 'read the room' and realised that no-one was enjoying it.
The crowd reaction was similar. Pumped up at the intros, and then it all got a bit eerie.

Paul is doing EXACTLY the same thing all the ATGs did. He just happens to be Uber famous and rich at this point in his career.
I don't particularly like Paul. I don't think I ever wanted him to win in any of his fights and I don't think he's a likable character. Despite this, I also think he gets alot unfair criticism for his level of competition. The market typically dictates what someone is paid and the level of attention someone receives. I had more casuals telling me they were going to watch this event than any traditional boxing match that I can recall. Hopefully they tuned in to the Barrios/Ramos and Serrano/Taylor fights and got exposed to real boxing in the process.Oregonian likes this.

Barrios v Ramos was a great fight. I already have Netflix so I watched for that fight. I knew Tyson v Paul was a farce to make Mike a nice payday.
Mike and Jake have been good friends for years, the fight was more WWE than anything else. Only really ****** people thought this was a real fight and believed the fake buildup.
Tyson has health problems and this was Paul giving him one last great payday. Actually made me proud of Jake for once.

There isn’t a single person that has ever even visited this site that can do what Jake Paul has done and continues to do. He was a highly successful YouTuber who turned to boxing as a hobby, and put together an event for his tenth fight that no one would’ve believed remotely possible only a year ago. At 27, Jake was already a multi-millionaire before last night. Today he’s 40 million dollars richer. In the process, Paul made his iconic pal 20 million bucks and many others a whole lot of money. If you didn’t like the main event, you could’ve enjoyed two sensational undercard fights. And it was all free if you already have a Netflix account, which many of us do. Don’t hate on Jake. Use his example to motivate yourself to find your own level of success in the world.

I expected to see the Tyson who showed up.
As long as Paul has a great undercard on Netflix, I'll tune in.....and will watch the main event involving whoever he faces. Of course I'll be rooting for his opponent.
the only good that might come out of this card is if NetFlix decides to put on some solid fight cards without the circus act. I respect he grabbed the money who would not ?

It's a business. There's nothing more to it.
