Some of these people talking about Boots being lucrative, but his promoter can't even win a purse bid for him to defend his belt. I've been saying it and saying it, but he brings nothing to the table because he hasn't built his career. It's built on a weak resume and the eye test. He has repeatedly avoided marquee tests. Like Tank Davis or Demetrius Andrade, and man, if he can't even defend his email belt, people gotta just shut up about him and Bud.

He has to move up. If he wants to fight the best fighters, they are at JM.

If he doesn't, then he doesn't want the challenges. He can keep spinning his wheels at WW like he has for the last 4 years.

      Enough.

Stopping calling him the next SRL. Maybe things will change, but I think the same article about him not fighting anyone with a pulse will still be written a year from now.

I mean articles in general, not one specific one.

Bad timing for Boots. All the stars left and all he can do is keep winning. He was too long without a real promotional company and his fate is similar to Prograis.

Promotional companies are a necessary evil and I bet he didn't go to PBC because they don't have a solid network where to air their fights and their future looks shaky at this moment.

The question as to who is rushing is none other than Ennis with 33 fights on his record. Fans and media alike are giving special attention to him. We don't know why when he and his team slow-tracked him fighting cans and now want to head straight to high-reward fights, avoiding fights which might derail him. And everyone is being pressured to fight him. Guys with 16 fights like Stanionis, Barrios who only had 4 fights at welter, then Norman just had his title recently... Bottom line is let Ennis and his team do whatever they want and let others do their own thing. Ennis fought cans most of his career and others shouldn't be prevented from doing the same.
People rush to judgement (such as yourself) prior to doing deep dives when making comments such as Boots “fighting cans” then noting Stanionis. One must ask how exactly did someone such as Stanionis get such a gift only 13 fights in? Well, it’s trash orgs lining up their preferred champions with either vacated titles facing cans or facing new champions who have won recent vacated titles. However you want to dice it, the orgs control who precisely they want as their champions. Stanionis was lined up against Radzhab Butaev who won his vacant title because he was lined up against an aged Jamal James (the orgs fall guy). Butaev’s very next opponent was Stanionis who was the orgs preferred champion. Who knows why but we know he had not business in a title fight 13 fights in. I could go on and on and on with example after example of how this has been going on for decades. Orgs choose their champions and for some reason the orgs don’t want Boots representing them.

Ennis avoided Tank Davis and Andrade? When did that happen?

And talking about the Ennis/Chukadzian purse bid -- Boots already beat Chukadzian by wide UD last year. He doesn't need the advantage of his promoter winning the purse bid to beat him again and nobody is going to want to pay to see him do it. There's no incentive and no need for Hearn to lose money bidding high for a fight like that.

This is an interesting take on the latest example of ducking and avoiding in the WW division. Was Hearn lying about Norman turning down $1.75 million to fight Boots? I haven't heard Bob Arum or Norman's manager deny it.

What once was boxing’s marquee division has crumbled into pieces of failed negotiations, tight-fisted promotion, protective decision-making and barely beyond-anonymous names.”

When was it last one of the marquee divisions!? it has been a PBC merry go round for years with mediocre talent inexplicably having claim to being the best despite basically only having meaningful fights in-house (hence merry go round) until Spence finally nutted up.

I suppose for the PBC D-Riders that will constitute a marquee division.

I meant that he has been avoiding top fighters, just like Davis and Andrade have done in their own careers. Not that he avoided fights with those two. And it's pretty clear that Hearn can't afford to pay more than a couple mill for fights, no matter the opponent, which doesn't suggest he's a major financial draw.
