Boots needs to move up unless Teo/Haney/Garcia wants to fight him, undisputed is overrated asf if the rest of the champs are walkovers, like they currently are at 147.

      Boxing promoter logic:

I'd rather have my superstar fight my middle of the road guy and make $5mil, then have my superstar fight another superstar and split $50 mil.

Any reason why he didn't sign with PBC?

The last big Welterweight fight was Spence Vs Crawford (2023). Before that, Manny vs Floyd (2015). Before that, De La Hoya vs Floyd (2007). Before that, De La Hoya vs Whittaker (1997). Before that, Leonard vs Duran (1980).

That means, there have been 5 Mega Fights at Welterweight over the last 45 years.. that's one every nine years.

We just saw this eras Welterweights fight each other, and it conclude with Spence and Crawford. Can we please have some patience with the development of this new era?
There were MANY other good - great welterweight fights in between.

Exactly. How many superfights actually turn out to be super fights? Regardless of the politics of the sport, the welterweight division is always filled with killers. Anybody who says otherwise is a casual who only knows the pay-per-view stars.

Boot's bggest issue is not that he can't get a so called "super" fight with Bud/Spence, but the fact that he can't even set up even a "decent" level fight through his career As someone said, he should've gone to a promoter that would pay Norman the extra 400k or heck, bite the bullet and contribute out of his purse just to get him in the ring to be unified.

These boots are made for moving up. Do it, Ennis.

That's why we are seeing Barrios and Stanionis fight each other because they are both with PBC.

However, I do not believe Spence and Crawford left WW because they did not want to face Boots. Spence was on the record before the Crawford fight, that no matter the outcome he can no longer make 147 and was going to 154. Crawford pretty much said the same thing. I know you like Boots, but you have to realise he offers nothing of any value to Spence or Crawford. He does not have a the name recognition or the belts they want (he only got his belt via email) and is not a dance partner that can generate high ppv - in other words he does not offer a belt or money. If you were Crawford or Spence you would not even look at Boots - no point at this stage of their careers. When you are close to retirement, you can only think of money and legacy. Boots offers neither.
What did all the other fighters he faced at WW offer that did not have a belf?(Only Horn and Spence)

Crawford vs Boots is probably the most lucrative compared to Crawford vs Anyone available at 154.

He provides too tough of a fight for them at this stage in their careers. The WW division would be revived if all of the email champions fought each other. People are afraid to lose their "0s". The same would happen to 154 if Boots went to that division. No one will fight him in that division as well. The promoters and greedy fighters have changed the way boxing is perceived these days.

Canelo can change this by accepting the Benavidez and Morrell fights and taking his beatings like a man. If the top dog in boxing were to get some balls then it would trickle down to the smaller and lesser known fighters and boxing would be more popular again.
You're wrong. Boots had the chance to fight Crawford in late 2022, but he and his daddy chose "the IBF route" and "loyalty to Showtime". Don't blame Crawford for that fight not happening.

Guys will jump at the chance to fight Boots at 154. At 154, his size and advantage melts guys crack about harder. Mr. Boots enjoys being a weight bully at 147.
