Bud wants the Canelo fight not only for the money and legacy but he would like to compete against one of his peers and contemporaries for a change also. Someone who is a lot closer to his own age.

Outside of becoming a three time World undisputed champion; Fighting these young hungry lions like: Vergil Ortiz and Jaron Boots Ennis for short pay is a huge waste of his time and does nothing for either his legacy or career.

It’s because he has absolutely nothing to prove by fighting them. They haven’t accomplished or achieved anything in their careers in order for Crawford to want to fight them.

But he just lost. At 160, it's a barren wasteland.
        So then it's 168. At 168, there's Canelo.

That's how process of elimination works.
Agree with your first half and the comments about Boots but at 154 there are other belts to win and a fight against the Fundora-Spence winner is a biggie. Maybe followed up with a defence against a returned Charlo. If he moves up again after and goes for a title at MW then whoever he fights will do well enough because of its significance

Crawford is in a good place. The interest in the Canelo has dimmed but it's still there, just needs to move steadily towards it with worthwhile, quality fights. Definitely needs to stay active so should be looking to fight again at xmas

Agree. If they want to fight Crawford they need to raise their profile. Boots needs to win more at 147 and then at 154. Ortiz needs a belt. It's in their hands.

Bud barely won at 154 and 168 is a different story against a still solid huge gifted champion .Unfortunately Turki has got this wrong as a 'super fight' Buds excellent at 147 , good at 154 but not tested at 160 or 168 .He could make it difficult for a few rounds against Canelo but on the strength of that it's hardly a competitive super fight . If Bud wants the Canelo money he should prove he's worthy of a chance up there , as yet he hasn't , and he's only got Mr. Turki who has been great for the game in many ways but has let his excitement and money get the better of him here .they both have great fights in their own divisions , this doesn't make sense at this time.

Well, he can't seem to land a fight vs Canelo, and he REALLY wants that and a mountain of cash to do it!

i dont really put much weight on not defending the undisputed titles. its hard enough to even get them all and the ABCs make it pretty much logistically impossible to hold them all. Look that they stripped Usyk because he is rematching Fury. well he is contractually obligated to rematch Fury and if he didnt sign a rematch clause then Fury would have never fought him and then there wouldnt be an undisputed title in the first place...... do you see how ***ing ******ed that all is.

I think this is exactly how Crawford assesses the situation.

If Bud is overrated, what does that make Spence, and all the fighters on his resume? Just saying... He's likely reached the weight at which he's just not big enough. No shame in that.

He wants that retirement check and won’t risk it losing to someone else. Like GGG not taking chances before getting that 3rd Canelo payyydayyyy.

                      I see you Bud.
Terrence wants money fights he can win, just like Canelo Alverez, and you and your fan boys were always down with it until today. The only difference is that Terrence Crawford is black , Amiright?
