Would he have been competitive with AJ? Possibly, but we never got to find out because he blatantly ducked the fight when it was offered to him for a career high $7million purse, after he put himself forward as a replacement for Big Pharma Miller then mysteriously disappeared when Eddie Hearn called his bluff.
Rankings lol. Forget rankings. Look at the quality of the fighters. Ortiz was undefeated. He beat a lot of fighters like Martin who were thought to me good. He fought well against Wilder. You guys use st upid rankings to disparage instead of watching the fighters and seeing what they can do in the ring.

And it's all the same group of fighters.

That's literally fraud Fury's best wins in recent years. Wilder got exposed brutally by Zhilei Zhang and Parker.

In the same time AJ has beaten Ruiz, Parker, Whyte, Pulev, Povetkin etc.
Recent years....AJ's last win over a top guy was in 2019, in a rematch against Ruiz. He hasn't beaten a top contender since. In that time Fury has beat Wilder twice, plus Whyte. So who actually has the better form in recent years?

And whilst Fury gets **** for fighting Chisora, he fought Chisora coming off a career best win over Pulev. Compare that to AJ, it's been two years since he lost to Usyk in the rematch, and in that time he's fought 3 guys coming off losses and Wallin.

Joyce, Parker, Wilder, Zhang, Dubois and Hrgovic have been fighting something of a mini tournament over the last 18 months, yet AJ somehow gets a pass for not being involved whilst all the other top contenders are squaring off.

        According to You!
All of a sudden Whyte & Chisora are two Top guys that Fury beat
But when AJ beat them they weren't....
        Heh
        Ya'll Fury fans are hilarious
I guess Usyk only beat Fury because his country is at War or Fury really won by decision because it was an easy fight

Read the fücking room you dumb cünt. No one gives a flying fück about Whyte or Chisora or even Joshua and Fury anymore.

Whyte ain't shït unless roided up. Chisora is punchdrunk and shot. Joshua is M.I.A and hiding under the desert turkis robe while Fury is kissing pavements in denial and talking shïte.

Like Wilder, Ortiz never beat any elite level opponents. Not one. His best win was Bryant Jennings and that was back in 2015. He beat Martin after Martin had already lost to Adam Kownacki and been flattened in 2 rounds by AJ.

Wilder and Ortiz were hype jobs created by the PBC propaganda machine. They both built big reputations beating a combination of cans and B - fringe contenders and they both turned down career high offers to fight AJ after calling him out repeatedly.

Nobody's beat anybody elite except usyk and Fury. You're dense about this it's a simple point. Oh Josh beat Klitschko when he was worked over and lost to elite fighters... Ok.

I just can't make this point anymore simple.

                    • We've had the battle of Parker's sloppy seconds with Zhang v Wilder.

A battle between Usyk's sloppy seconds with Joshua v Dubois seems likely .

If the sloppy seconds winners face off and Turki parks Fury on the pavement for a spell perhaps we might get the fight between the 2 most deserving...

                      Parker v Usyk.
