And he don’t even punch that hard, it’s easy to flatten bums. Who’s he knocked out that actually could take a shot? Nobody.

One of the worst HW champs in history for sure.
    Ortiz.

Can't believe I'm defending Wilder, but he can crack, no doubt.

Remember when Wilder got knocked down by Dustin Nichols?

If you did not know then that Wilder was a fraud, I am not sure what to tell you.

He has been dropped once in his entire life, never knocked out until he faced Wilder, and never since.

Name the same for an opponent Foreman or Mike Tyson koed.

His chin is pretty much impregnable but Wilder cracked it.

Foreman koed glass jaws like Moorer, Cooney, never cracked tough jaws..

Foreman knocked a lot of legit tough guys out.

You're concussed, time to try something new. Sock knitting perhaps?

Wilder was never a master boxer ever in his career. I don't think anyone would debate that.

However, during his prime, he did have success against decent fighters and reigned as the WBC champion for a long time. He was tall, athletic, courageous, and had a great equalizer. His "boxing ability" was to be able to set up those punches and it helped that he was feared for that right hand. However, using Wilder's performance in his last 2 fights to judge him is not fair. Father time and age catch up to everyone and he seems to have lost interest in boxing after losing his title, only showing up to get the last few quids to add to his retirement plans. Remember, even Ali lost to Spinks and Mike Tyson quit against Kevin McBride and those were legends.

In summary, looking at Wilders peak 3-4 years in boxing, he was an exciting fighter and gave a decent account of himself at least with many KO reals. He had only one trick but it was one hell of a trick till it lasted. He was fun to watch and promised a knock-out which is what most people associate with heavyweight boxing. Purists will always be critical of him but he was good entertainment. It is best to leave it at that. He should retire.

His way of boxing relied on landing that one punch, so if the speed to percieve things is slowed it takes away his weapons for the most part.

No one who complains about Wilder is knocking out 39 opponents no matter who they face, taxi driver or cashier. Let alone WORLD ranked athletes. Sit on the couch, drink your beer and enjoy the show

Well said. Is he an all time great? No. But he was good entertainment in the post Klitschko era even if the competition was soft.
