I think Bob confirmed that the current plan is to host it in the same venue as Fury Ngannou. The whole investment point is to get people to visit the Kingdom for tourism and Nov. - Feb. are the only feasible months for that. Nobody's going anyone outside in March so I believe it will be December or...

How so?
Fury did offer to fight Usyk last December but Usyk said he wasn't ready. Then, the Skills Challenge guys wanted the fight in Feb but never had the money to make an offer. Then Fury offered to fight Usyk at Wembley at 70-30 split but Usyk walked away and signed with Skills Challenge....

Isn't that what I said also? We are talking about talks that wanted the doubleheader (AJ-WIlder and Fury-Usyk) to happen in Dec. 2022 and whose negotiations were going on after the AJ-Usyk 2 fight. That was almost a year ago. Usyk said he wasn't ready for December and the fight was to happen around...Last edited by Zelda; Yesterday, 10:31 PM.

No, Amer Abdullah mentioned that it was before he had joined and that is what he heard. Then he said, a "take it or leave it" offer would be sent for FUry but we know it never happened.
Also, just because you did not know about Al Turki does not mean other people are as ignorant...

It has been known for almost a year now that Turki is the name of the guy in Saudi and that Skills Challenge is out. When Warren told us that Skills Challenge offer for Fury vs. Usyk didn't come because "the stadium won't be ready" in Feb. 2023, everyone knew what it meant. Warren moved on...Clegg likes this.

Firstly, talking about a fight is not manning up. Secondly, Eddie wants the AJ-Zhang fight IF CHINA PUTS UP A SITE FEE. It is unlikely Zhang fights either of Wilder or AJ unless it will make big business or it is mandated. Neither option looks likely at the moment. Wilder probably makes more money fighting...

Wilder is 38 and in semi-retirement mode. He still trains and exercises but that is because he has always remained in shape throughout his active years. He may only come out of his undeclared retirement for a major fight because it is hard to motivate yourself for the lesser ones. Wilder, by his own...

There is a lot of difference between the two. Warren kept his mouth shut, let the prince HE Turki make the announcement first, and is still keeping his mouth shut regarding the dates and split and rematch and if it is conditional, etc. even AFTER he had the fight in his hands and the deal is signed....786 likes this.

Can we please ask Warren to take over and deliver the Joshua vs. Wilder fight for us too? Eddie's been talking for over a year but doing nothing. It took him over a year to realize he was talking to the wrong people.

Of course Wilder-Joshua is still a massive fight even if it is not as big as it once was. Fury-Usyk is great and for undisputed (for those who care about it) but Wilder-Joshua would have been bigger had it happened while both were undefeated. Usyk is a good technical boxer but not a massive star and...

Warren was right when he said it is a game-changer if he's getting stuff done. Reminds me of another promoter who only kept telling us on Youtube that a big fight was done for a year only to say it ain't happening.thack likes this.

I was actually taking a dig at Eddie...he's been telling us about AJ-Wilder for a year just to announce afterward that it won't. Warren simply told us that this is a game-changer and I can see what he means now. He was right.
As for Fury, what he says depends on what mood he's in but he's...

If true, that's amazing and the right way to go about things. Work in the background and get stuff done instead of talking endlessly for a year and saying it won't happen.

Why does AJ vs. Zhang need a site fee from China? That's another way of saying they aren't interested in the fight.

I would like to see Zhang vs AJ but not before Zhang vs Usyk. I like Zhang vs AJ but I think AJ wins and it would be AJ-Usyk 3. I want a clash of different styles so Zhang vs Usyk is more entertaining for me.

Because the rest of the HW division is crap.
And because Wilder has power in his right hand and has been knocking people not named Fury out. And also because he hasn't fought in a long time, people do not really know where he's actually at. So, they are assuming he is the same guy who fought...

You're just embarrassing yourself. Wilder vs Helenius was actually PPV but AJ vs Helenius was not.
I am saying if you want to compare Ruiz vs Ortiz, then compare it with Wilder vs Ortiz. Let Ruiz fight Helenius and see how much that sells. Joshua is more popular (at least in the UK) than...

What did Wilder-Ortiz do?
What did Joshua-Helenius do?
If you want to compare, then use common opponents not fights with others. Ortiz is a much bigger name than Helenius....Marchegiano likes this.

Give Warren the credit that he's making his top contenders fight one another...Dubois-Joyce and Joyce-Zhang. Who else is doing that at HW today?crimsonfalcon07
