Fury gets KO'd in the rematch

Fury has now been dropped 8 times in his career and cut several times in his last few fights. I think a stoppage is coming soon too. Maybe from exhaustion, maybe from a cut, maybe he just gets chinned. If not in the Usyk rematch, then maybe against Joshua after that.

With how much abuse he has put his body through over the years I trust him less and less each time out.

Fury lacks in athleticism and he lacks fundamentals, can’t get his punches of when fighting backwards, only arm punches that don’t scare Usyk that much, apart from his right uppercut. I don’t see him getting KO’d if he stinks it out and collect the check.

Fury just seems to get up every time. Granted, imo he got saved by the bell in the first fight.

I just think Usyk outboxes him by a wider margin the next fight. He probably knocks Fury down but Fury, as always, gets back up.

Fury went through a crisis of energy level between roumds 8-9. This is likely when his body was switching to a fat burn cycle, this is common in fights and you can physically see it in distance fights, some fighters are better at masking it then others. He got caught during this phase. Fair play to Usyk, as he caused this

You're right. The bottom line is Tyson Fury came into this fight weighing much lighter at 262 lbs; In a futile attempt to outbox Usyk at long range and from the outside by fighting off the back foot.

I knew from the jump that this was a mistake. He was never to going to out box or defeat Oleksandr Uysk from a distance. Due to the fact that Usyk was the more skilled, scientific and fundamentally sound of the two fighters.

Fury was nearly 20 pounds heavier in his previous fight with Francis Ngannou at 278 pounds. Each time and every time he cuts weight; He becomes weakened, fatigued, stationary, vulnerable and dangerously close to getting himself KO.

Our first glance of this happening was in Wilder/Fury I. Where he was nearly decapitated in the 12th round and now in the Usyk fight in round 9.

In the hopes of having any chance of defeating Usyk; Then he is going to have to weight bully Oleksandr, fight off the front foot and make this a very physical fight. Unless, he changes his style he will get stopped next time.

I’ve said it before, his best days are well behind him. Big guys like Fury can’t take the wear and tear and trauma to their knees, hips, joints, etc. he is not nearly as mobile as he was a few years ago and his reflexes have finished. He has been in wars and has taken a lot of big punches to the head. I don’t see him doing any better in a rematch.

It's possible. Usyk has taken some punches from big HWs and it's only a matter of time before that wear and tear catches up to him. He's already 37.

I can’t see it. Fury is a very difficult guy to stop, has amazing powers of recovery and also tremendous heart.

That's very true. Also, Fury has to know that he doesn't have 24 year old legs anymore. He just can't circle the ring against Usyk for twelve rounds without him eventually getting tired, languishing on the ropes and getting himself caught flush on the chin at age 36.

Usyk just needs to make Fury bleed. Fury doesn't like bleeding.

I re-watched the full fight today that HE Turki uploaded to his channel (brilliant 4K video). Fury was doing quite well when he was aggressive and coming forward. He won those rounds quite easily. Those would be rounds 3-6 (both inclusive). He did okay in round 11, and in my opinion, won round 12. Round 2 is also close and could go either way but I will lean towards Usyk. The main thing was when Tyson was coming forward and throwing punches, some of them did bother Usyk and slowed his attack. If he comes in aggressive in the rematch, I can see him winning or even stopping Usyk. The question is will Fury have the courage and discipline to do it knowing he got clipped and can get hurt? It is still a competitive fight for me that could go either way.

The first fight showed Usyk as the smarter and more disciplined boxer who won that fight but not as the definitive winner of any future fights.
