What exactly was "embarrassing" about it besides maybe the silly clowning for the crowd? He got caught and had one bad round or otherwise he probably would have won. He showed huge heart as always, hurt Usyk several times and comfortably controlled a good portion of the fight. He's earned almost a quarter of a billion dollars fighting and is a two-time World Champion who has lost "one" very close fight to certainly one of the greatest fighters who's come along in a long time.
Fuy wasn't just caught by a lucky punch but was worked into that position where he was whooped with a right-left combo. And Usyk made him gassed. Honestly, I don't which fight you were watching. Prior the 9th round he had only won 3 rounds 4, 5 and 6. Over 12 rounds he won 4 rounds at most if you give him round 12.
You Fury fans obviously believe that showboating earned him points, they didn't. So, the fight was far from being close. It's 8-4 for Usyk. The only thing that can be said, is that without the 9th round beat up the judges would have robbed Usyk.Last edited by Boxviewer; 05-29-2024, 02:21 PM.Comment

I think Fury will absolutely destroy Usyk in the rematch. One thing about Fury is that he has always demonstrated an impressive ability to adapt in rematches. After being taken the distance with Chisora he heavily switch-hitted in the rematch & spent about 60% of it in southpaw stance which led to a KO. After drawing with wilder (and very nearly getting knocked out) he ditched boxing in favour of aggressive front foot pressure in the rematch which again led to a KO. Granted Usyk is an incredible fighter with a sky high IQ but Fury will probably reflect on the moments where he hurt him and should be able to strategize a game plan where he can use his size effectively to fight with evil intent.
If anyone is going to get his ass whooped it's going to be Fury, again. Usyk simply has more tricks, a better engine and better legs than him.Comment

I gave Fury 2 of the first four as well as 5, 6 and 7. After that I think I had one draw round and the rest for Usyk. It was a close fight but Usyk gets the extra point in round 9 and did more damage overall and landed more punches. He wins by one or two rounds or at the closest 6 to 6 which still gives him the win with the KD in the 9th.Last edited by TheOneAboveAll; 05-29-2024, 02:46 PM.Comment

In all seriousness, I think he should give the head coaching job to Andy Lee. Sugar Hill is starting to look like a bit of a poser.Comment

Good chin but doesn't like blood. Usyk's tactics for the rematch? Make him bleed. That'll do.Comment

It was outrageous that Andy Lee was in the corner but I swear I never heard him say a word. Fury needs to find a way of telling his dad to **** off if he wants to win the rematch.Comment
