Yeah it's a big deal that he could get to Fury. Fury gives up too much real estate. Some of these fighters today especially, I'm thinking fighters like Caleb plant for example, they just move too much. Efficiency goes out the window. You can only do this so long against and effective and aggressive opponent.

Fury has to use an old Tai chi axiom; move when your opponent moves, punch when your opponent punches. Given Tyson's reach and size if he stood his ground and did the above he would be much more of a problem.

You're also being harsh on wilder there as well. There's more to wilder that just the 1,2... He's incredibly dangerous because he's very athletic and can close the distance in an instance to get the right hand off as he proved against people like Ortiz, Stiverne and Breazeale. with wilder you'd have to be switched on constantly - as he says he only needs to be perfect for 1 second...

what about John McDermott? A very large proportion of people are of the opinion that he lost the first fight where for the most part he was boxing on the outside unsuccessfully. In the rematch he brought the fight to McDermott, especially on the inside and ended the fight conclusively with a KO. That's now 3 different fights where he's come back, made the adjustment and got the KO. He already hurt Usyk in the first fight. Just because Usyk is a great fighter it doesn't make him immune from getting KO'd.

People forget that Peter Fury turned Tyson Fury from a guy who was having wars with and trouble with average fighters, to someone who beat Wlad in his own backyard.

I also think Peter Fury knew how to have Tyson better prepared mentally, and keeping hangers on away from him.

When you hear Peter talk, its clear that he knows his ****. Shame what happened there all cos of that bollocks of Peter and Hughie talking to David Haye. Nash out
I agree. John is too centered around emotional affect, including his own. Peter was, much like Roger Mayweather was to Floyd, smart, technically savy, and could get Fury focused. No fighter can focus on a corner with a trifecta including Big John. Fury is a very coachable fighter. I think when he is focused he can do a lot better.

This is great news. First fight was fantastic. This guys should go for a trilogy, if Fury can win a rematch.
