The organizers had too much money on Fury vs AJ for all the belts. Ref was paid, one of the judges was paid. This is business. Too much money was on Fury to win, Giving Fury a 20 second (8 count) was BS. If Usyk was getting blasted like that in the 9th round they would of stopped the fight. GUARANTEED. This is the scummy side of boxing that i hate. And why no one is talking about the ridiculous Dress Fury wore all the way to his ****, go look at it that not an ordinary boxing shorts .

Usyk was robbed of the KO in the 9th round PERIOD. If Fury too flawed, then USYK IS FLAWLESS one of the Greats!

this is where boxing writers lose me..
(and i read the whole article)
They believe they have golden access to historic "would-be" lists and who should be placed where on them. its the stuff that doesn't exist but some to be writers' expertise. BECAUSE they've never fought.

Thats the best i've seen of Fury in the ring. Everyone has said it about Usyk's weakness being the body. To see uppercuts to the body that got underneath Usyk's guard was something incredible that only a fighter with that length of reach and that high IQ could do. And he did it when he knew Usyk wouldn't counter. the uppercut head shot nearly flattened Usyk. I do think Fury will be even better in the next fight, just like he was for the Wilder rematch.

"Neither Klitschko brother had three fights that thrilling. Lennox Lewis didn’t either."
Vitali was in a huge scrap with Lennox lewis. how do you not know that one?

He's never been nailed to the canvas, and has got back up and continued strong every time he's been knocked down. If he carried himself better and was more humble everyone would love him. It's his (and his family's) out of ring antics that cause many to hate and criticize him.
ya, i thought Fury was fantastic vs Usyk. He probably could've stopped him if he had pushed more in the 6th. But he let Usyk keep coming to him to get countered.

Man, there were about 12 seconds left from that round. Fury was knocked down, so the referee started counting (which usually lasts +/- 10 seconds but is not related to seconds) and Fury beat the count. When a fighter does so, the referee also checks him if he really can continue (it is also his duty to protect the fighters). Then we apply the rules that a fighter cannot be saved by the bell which is why the bell rang after that check. Practically Fury was up and the round was about to end in some 2-3 seconds. But let's say he had a gift - gifts are allowed only when Usyk simulates in order to avoid KO?

Fury didn't LET Usyk do anything. Usyk stepped it up and outfought Fury. End of story.

                4. He loses a very close fight to another ATG and suddenly he is second-tier? Yet...
                5. Lennox Lewis gets knocked out by two boxers not in Usyk's class and it's swept under the rug? And I could pick out similar in every 'Elite' boxer you mentioned.

Usyk AND Fury are up there with any of them...Ever! If two greats fight, barring the rare draw, SOMEBODY has to lose.

So, let's say with your 1 and 2, by your logic, if Ali beat Louis, then Louis is suddenly second rate too.

People, I keep telling you all. Learn from the Great Nash. He's taught me everything I know about boxing. Nash out
Fury has no credentials to remotely rate him as an ATG.

He fought 6 entertaining fights in his entire career. The rest was bums and inactivity.

Lewis was in some very exciting fights, Briggs, Bruno, Mercer and Klitsko all come to mind.

Zhang smashing Wilder to bits soon will be another nail in the coffin of his legacy, after Fury's wins over Wallin and Ngannou were exposed by AJ as frauds.

AJ himself is likely the final nail in said coffin, as I predict AJ stops him and sends him into retirement. He was never even best of his generation let alone an ATG. would not get into top 25.
