What a fscking shyt show oh my goodness... I was wondering when some MMA guy was going to go back to their instincts like that.
I remember watching a fight several years ago where something similar happened (although less extreme); a fighter who was also did MMA got clipped pretty hard and his muscle memory made him shoot a takedown on his opponent. I don't think it was an intentional conscious decision (he was pretty out of it) and the ref intervened and gave him an 8-count.

As for Kownacki, it's a pretty sad state of affairs. At one point he was pretty close to a title shot and now just a few years later he's getting stopped by journeyman and prospects. I guess it was inevitable, he was never the same guy after the Nordic Nightmare detonated a bomb on his face in that first matchup.

He was never going to last long the way he fought. Had an iron chin and was always willing to be in firefights, but took way to many punches in all his fights and at some point, his lack of defense and discipline was gonna be his downfall. Fun as hell to watch, but always felt he was gonna get destroyed if he every fought any of the marquee names like that. If anything, he overachieved bc of his chin. It got cracked and he had nothing else to overcome that. Hope he made good money to sit back and be a family man.

Well, he turned down Joshua fight in 2019. For losing to Helenius later.

Than he turned down Chisora offer. For losing to Demirezen.

He is not very smart. He was top 10 at some point, but his career is over now.

Adam has lost his edge ever since Big Baby Miller popped for PEDs in the AJ fight. Miller and Adam are homies from Brooklyn, worked out at the same gym and had similar physiques with crazy stamina and punch resistance. I suspect Adam got scared straight and quit PEDs forever after the whole Miller situation,, Just sayin that could be the reason for his accelerated decline.

He headline Barclay arena in NJ a few times & was co-main event too. He had a big Polish following in those first 20 fights. I’m sure he made some money just not as much as he could have if he took the Chisora & Joshua fights.
