  • Wonder how this came about. Ellerbe been with Mayweather since his early days as a fighter. "Effective immediately" usually means something serious might have happened behind the scenes. Who knows? In time, the more details and some truth will come out.

  • That's how I saw it. With the way the business is, gotta always keep your best options open if you're in the position to be able to do so. Some opportunities might never come again unless you call your own shots(i.e. Canelo), so he did what he shoulda done in that position. Don't think going back into...

  • Agree that this is a trap fight for Benavidez. Benavidez is moving up in weight and Gvodzyk, despite aging and being inactive at the top level for years, is still a former LHW champ with a difficult style to matchup with for him and whose only loss is to one of the most dangerous guys on the planet....

  • I feel the same. Just hoping he makes Ennis work somewhat and makes it entertaining while it lasts....

  • With a month out left, there's not many guys willing to step in in that short timeframe. Ennis should dominate if he is who we think he is, but some pundits thought the same thing with Lejarraga and Kelly. If he can handle Ennis' speed and power(don't think he will) and can keep that pressure he's used...

  • Avanesyan might not be the type of guy that's good enough to beat the top guys, but he isn't a pushover and dude deserves credit for willing to fight anybody at any given time. Good litmus test for Ennis so everybody can compare how he handles Avanesyan compared to Crawford. Still a solid fight for...

  • Between him and LSC. Can't remember anybody of note other than Frampton he fought for a belt(or at all). He beat Mares twice, but the size difference between them two was ridiculous. At least Broner beat the top guy at LW at the time in DeMarco and Malignaggi at WW(debatable). Either way, neither guy...

  • Zayas might be the heir to throne for PR boxing, but as solid as he looked so far, he's still too young and is not ready to assume that position. Texeira, being his toughest test so far, did very little in the fight to gauge how far along Zayas is in his progression and Zayas just doesn't seem to have...

  • Just calling it like I've always seen it. Dude's plan in every fight has always been to try to walk a guy down with a high guard throwing one punch at a time from early to mid part of the fight until the opponent gets tired and then let his hands go late in the fight when his opponent is tired. It's...

  • As good as Cobbs looked, Broner looked just as bad. Broner had almost nothing going but putting pressure all night without pulling the trigger until the final rounds like he always does. Looked slow and out of shape following while following Cobbs around and getting picked apart. He might just be a...
