Lol you really think he wants to fight Bivol again?

I said on here the night of the fight he will never fight Bivol again, after predicting that Bivol would school him. Bivol does pretty much everything better than him.

If he wanted that rematch, he would have had it already. He used the oldest trick in the book by sending a very very low ball offer to make it look like he wanted it before sloping off to fight a 50 year old GGG.

Canelo will never fight the winner of Bivol or Beterbiev, he'll either get schooled again by Bivol or smashed by Beterbiev.

Hell,Even if its Mungia for may...wouldn't be a bad scrap lets be real here and I want the Benavidez fight as much as the next guy but Jaime is a fun fighter to watch...a fan favorite. Lets see what take place tomorrow.
It wouldn't be a stop gap though, it'd be just another fight in which he avoids the fight we want to see. And the fight after this one, people will excuse him again, saying its another stop gap.

Anyway, if he fights Benavidez next, credit to him but I'll be surprised. He's come out with all kinds of wacky excuses when he's asked about that fight.

The main reason Mayweather took a strategic "retirement" after the Hatton fight was to avoid Cotto.

I would t at all be upset if he separates from pbc. Hopefully Amazon doesn’t throw away tens possibly hundreds of millions on him for fights against Tijuana cab drivers that don’t help the sport
I've reached Canelo fatigue at this point. I haven't watched his last two fights. Unless he's in a fight with the jeopardy someone like Benavidez would provide I have no further interest. There's enough else happening in boxing to not focus on Canelo increasing his net worth in uninteresting fights.

I don't think he wins either of those fights either, a fight with Beterviev would backfire on him if he thinks he is just cherry picking a fighter near the end of his career. If John Ryder could land impactful uppercuts, imagine what Arthur would do to him if he dismantled Canelo's high guard.

As for Bivol, he did try to get the rematch but he still wanted to be the A-side and Bivol said he wants to accomplish more instead of going backwards in his career. Reason why I said that if he aimed for Bivol, he would try to add stipulations to have a definitive edge.

DAZN had a $365 million contract with Alvarez.

It was once the largest contract ever signed by a professional athlete. Now it no longer exists. Boxing star Saul “Canelo” Alvarez has severed ties with Golden Boy Promotions, which has represented him since 2010, according to a person familiar with the negotiations. As part of the separation, his record $365 million deal with streaming […]

This type of approach is commonplace and pretty much worldwide.
It's not so commonplace among boxers. The last "big announcement" preview from a boxer that comes to mind, is Fury announcing he'd fight Ngannou. It wasn't very big at all, but more of a shock and a disappointment.
