I'm not so sure. Immediately after the fight Hearn was trying to portray Benn as the people's champion but that's simply BS. Benn's timeline of events is this; achieved nothing domestically -> got busted for PED's & became extremely obnoxious -> put in spirited effort but lost grudge fight...
