No! Canelo had a $365 million contract with Golden Boy. It was Golden Boy who had the $365 million contract with DAZN. That was the basis for the GBP contract with Canelo. Oscar failed to disclose to Canelo that the GBP contract had a stipulation that Canelo had to fight GGG. Canelo was not interested in fighting GGG at that time. DAZN understandably pressured GBP to deliver the fight. When Canelo discovered that there was a "secret clause" in the BGP and DAZN contract he filed a lawsuit. Oscar quickly folded and Canelo won the lawsuit and thereby he was released from the contract.

You are right. My memory fails me at times these days. It was all very bizarre. The takeaway for me was that Oscar turned out to be a lying oil slick.

Now Rick Glaser is reporting that Canelo's announcement tomorrow will be him leaving PBC for breach of contract, and he'll likely be fighting Munguía. Which is still a big fat duck. Dunno if any of these "insiders" know anything though.
