DAZN understandably pressured GBP to deliver the fight. When Canelo discovered that there was a "secret clause" in the BGP and DAZN contract he filed a lawsuit. Oscar quickly folded and Canelo won the lawsuit and thereby he was released from the contract.
No the issue was Oscar gave verbal assurances that he could get Canelo on board with a third GGG fight. It wasn’t in his contract at all. They couldn’t have put that in a contract as GGG was not a DAZN fighter when Canelo signed. DAZN then sold GGG on signing with them based on Oscar’s word to chase the third fight. Canelo didn’t want that fight. Then DAZN tried to play hardball and not approve any other opponent than GGG which caused the rift.

Canelo sued to get out of his deal with Golden Boy so he could go independent and negotiate his own deals with DAZN or PBC. DAZN then upped the guaranteed money by $20 million for him to do the GGG trilogy.

You are right. My memory fails me at times these days. It was all very bizarre. The takeaway for me was that Oscar turned out to be a lying oil slick.

Isn't Rick Glaser just some random internet dude who makes clickbait content without substance with no press credentials or credible contacts?

You're not denying it - wow lol. Don't blow Canelo too hard Tone... I know you regard him as the "face of boxing" but remember he already has a partner in Suilaman, you are merely his dirty secret,

Not a clue. Just noting what various people have been reporting, and pointing out that nothing is known yet.

If you believe that Canelo's signature was not also on that contract, you are naive.
