Canelo, an excellent to great fighter, but darn, I don't want to see him fight Munguia.

That is, because Benavidez deserves a shot more, and Morrell would also be a much tougher challenge than Munguia, obviously.

But anyway, I guess it would sell, all Mexican clash, but like him against the other Charlo, not that appealing anymore.

This is probably about the money. More than likely PBC could not come up with the guarantee money. I understand that the PBC contract with Amazon Prime does not include upfront money to finance the fight. If that is the case, then that pretty much leaves Haymon with only his investors to come up with the guaranteed money before the fight. Worse than putting the PBC contract with Canelo in jeopardy, this leaves all the PBC fighters in a bad financial situation. I am wrong.

The PBC has plenty of money. more than your hating ass would want them to have. Haymon knows what he's doing. This is about him not wanting to fight Benavidez

You are wrong on at least 2 counts. First of all, I don't hate Al Haymon, I admire him and his business acumen. He is a smart guy with a degree in economics from Harvard. You gotta give him a lot of credit for that. Second, PBC doesn't have plenty of money. None of the promotional companies have cash lying around. Most, like PBC, rely on proceeds from the gate, ******ing platforms, TV, PPV, and the like plus money from sponsorships and investors. The reality is that boxing is a niche sport in America. That makes it difficult to generate revenue. Since you know nothing about me, why do you think that this is about hate on my part? Peace brother!

Whats that got do with Canelo fighting Mungia instead of Benavidez? lol. If money was problem then PBC would want the Benavidez fight since its far more lucrative.

Damn, this guy is going to embarrass his Mexican people right on a Mexican Tv platform. What a clown.

Good question! At this point, we don't who Canelo is going to fight, much less fight Mungia. There is always a bunch of nonsense posted about Canelo and other prominent people. The vast majority of the claptrap is clickbait designed to generate revenue for the poster. I take all these speculations with a huge grain of salt. Sure the Benavidez fight generates more revenue, but revenue is not the sticking point, it is the money guarantee that is the issue. That is the upfront money that the promoter puts in the boxer's back account before a penny is generated in revenue. At this level, it comes from investors, sponsors, and whatever platform is showing the fight. The sticking point, as I understand it, is that PBC's contract with Amazon Prime does not include upfront money from Prime PPV. If anything, a Benavidez fight would require more upfront money than a Mungia fight. I hope I am wrong and Canelo announces who he is going to fight in the next 2 fights with the 3rd fight being the Benavidez fight. That would bring in the most bucks for both Canelo and PBC.

He is going to announce that he will be fighting on Amazon Prime.

From a fan standpoint any other fighter that he fights that is not Benavides is a disappointment.

Anything other than Benavidez is not good enough. David has done his duty and earned that shot it would be incredibly disappointing if this announcement is anything but that bout. Don’t get me wrong I’m a huge Canelo fan but it’s dragged on long enough now this has to be next or perhaps retirement?
