I mean win or lose, favorite or under dog, Usyk will be ready. I am SO GLAD he did not take a fight to replace Fury. This is the legacy tussle both fighters need. I think it is a telling moment that Fury was physically there. Shows me Fury is serious, and that this cut may have just been something that happened because of carelessness in training and not to dodge out.
Could it have been as some posters are saying that Fury used it to get more time to prepare because he was still not in great shape? Maybe. But so long as the fight happens I do not care. End the excuses. Give us fans the freaking unification we have been denied since Joshua and Wilder were undefeated and playing the blame games with each other.Comment

He obviously doesn't believe it's as easy as you do, otherwise he would have gone ahead on 23rd December.Comment

Yep, I am sure Usyk and his team have not talked about that kind of game plan from Fury at all,. I am sure they have not sparred with that in mind, and will be totally taken surprise by the taller, heavier, stronger, and slower Fury trying to grab and lean on Usyk. I am sure body work and staying in the middle of the ring to allow side movement as Fury tries to grapple have not been discussed or practiced. After all, Usyk is known for his huge HW power, not his technical skill or high boxing IQ.Comment

crying child.webp
Waaaaaaa!
But seriously, where is the blood? With a cut like that blood should have been running down his face. Where are more photos, medical reports, evidence?Last edited by Tom Joad; 02-04-2024, 11:13 PM.Comment

He is a full fledged big heavyweight.
Additionally 37 years old is quite young now, he's younger than Arthur Bertebiev for example who is still in his prime and heavyweights age better than smaller fighters.
Usyk is at the peak of his powers and is a historically big heavyweight, this is a deadly test for Fury and he deserves credit if he wins as it would be one of the greatest wins of all time and a big upset in the eyes of many.Comment

Usyk isn't small he is 6'3" 225lbs a true heavyweight bigger than George Foreman, Muhammed Ali, Joe Frazier, Joe Louis, Mike Tyson, Evendar Holyfield and Rocky Marciano

Also, Usyk is an athlete that stays in top shape all the time, the diametric opposite of Fury who is tending more and more as he gets older to be a huge fat guy. Actually I'd like to see Fury get back to pro wrasslin. He did it once. I don't think his heart is in boxing anymore. He'd fit right in wrasslin...pro wrestling... and he'd be a huge draw, being a naturally flamboyant showman and naturally loud blowhard, just what they're looking for in the "sports entertainment" business! He loves money and there's a lot of money in it. Forget about boxing Usyk, Fury. You know u don't really want to. He'll make a fool of you in the ring, and that will greatly diminish your potential wrestling value.Last edited by Tom Joad; 02-04-2024, 11:36 PM.Comment
