That's not good news for Fury, if that cut is as bad as shown.

WBC gave Charlo like a decade to just sit and chill, drinking frozen drinks and enjoying the night life. Tyson Fury is one of the biggest draws, good or bad, in boxing. There is ZERO chance they would do that. This is the same "moral" organization that outright refused to sanction the Beterbiev-Bivol unification because of the war until the Saudi Oil money got involved, then they were oh so open minded all of a sudden. They are the most un-funny punchline of all the sanctioning organizations, and that is saying something as low as that bar is.Comment

Nothing can be confirmed. All you need to do is find some training footage you have where you could could have got cut and the camera is not close and you can say that it happened there. I've seen the footage and it is blurry as hell. Fury is known for lying in every situation. We all called this before it happened too.
Saudis have form when it comes to watching guys get cut...Comment

Two weeks out from the fight I still wasn't convinced it would go ahead. Because Fury is unpredictable and things can go wrong with him. The day before the cut I posted on here that I wouldn't be hitting the buy button on the PPV just yet. And that was with only two weeks to go.
Now we've got over 3 months for something to go wrong. And with Fury, there's an incredible chance that something will go wrong. It happens too often to suggest it's just bad luck. Plus no-one is saying they've chosen that date because Fury will be ready - they've chosen it because it's the last date possible. Fury may not be ready.
As for the cut, I'm inclined to agree with Froch - that looked a really sloppy spar two weeks from a fight this big. It wasn't just bad luck, it was crap preparation. He got himself split by a little fella because they were having a scrappy spar. And that's without considering conspiracies, which I'd never rule out with Fury. There's nothing I'd put past him.
3 months out - I don't think the fight happens.Comment

I mean win or lose, favorite or under dog, Usyk will be ready. I am SO GLAD he did not take a fight to replace Fury. This is the legacy tussle both fighters need. I think it is a telling moment that Fury was physically there. Shows me Fury is serious, and that this cut may have just been something that happened because of carelessness in training and not to dodge out.
Could it have been as some posters are saying that Fury used it to get more time to prepare because he was still not in great shape? Maybe. But so long as the fight happens I do not care. End the excuses. Give us fans the freaking unification we have been denied since Joshua and Wilder were undefeated and playing the blame games with each other.Comment
