The Lemieux fight was May 21, 2022, not 2021. What a clown.

Morrell got upgraded to WBA Regular champ shortly after his Dec 26, 2020 fight vs Gavronski.

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - David Morrell Jr. is a lot of things. He’s young. He’s inexperienced. He’s unproven. And he’s pretty much anonymous to any fan outside the hardcore set. But he’s something else, too. Precociously confident in his abilities. Just a few weeks past his 23rd birthday and a veteran of just four pro fights, Morrell was referring to the 168-pound weight class in the after...

For all the back and forth they have been having, I believe they do.

I'm not talking about wins and losses, and I don't think smith, fielding, blackwell and yildrim are big names, do you consider ryder higher than Morell jr? In other words, if ryder were to face Morell jr (ryder already was going to face the Cuban, and he bailed out of the fight), who do you think would win?

Yeah, those are Canelo fans, 100% They say neither guy has earned it, so they need to fight each other while he goes off and faces a blown up 154lber.

I've seen those posts too. I should have said "No boxing fan is saying..."

I know Morell jr has been the mandatory for canelo for two years now, the partisans are the ones omitting that little fact. Watch how they will ignore this post and if someone replies, it is with nonsense, or he didn't deserve the chance, ignoring the fact that ryder was supposed to fight him to become mandatory and went another route jacobs and parker (he only needed to fight once vs DMJ) and fought canelo already.

That hater even had to change the date of the Lemieux fight to spread his false narrative. Literally established fact that's easy to verify, so hater boy has to lie.

The WBA mandatory is the one that hasn't been satisfied for the longest time. By rights, based on mandatory rotation, Canelo should be fighting Morrell, then the winner of the IBF eliminator, then Benavidez. The idiots in WBO said that GGG satisfied their mandatory also, which means Canelo has defended the WBO twice, and the other organizations have no interest in ordering their own fights. I figure at least one of Morrell/Shishkin/Scull/Benavidez ends up email champ sooner or later here.

Fight would have happened last year had it not for a trainer. This constant fear of losing is so rampant in this damn sport. You lose, so what? You learn from the defeat and come back strong. We could have had the result last year had it not for a trainer. And now nobody knows when the fight will happen because things change quickly in just days, weeks, months.

You talk trash constantly and when the fight is offered, you grab it at the drop a hat. No excuses. Trainers are a dime a dozen in this sport. They mean very little.

No real trainer and established one like Shields would jump into a fight under those circumstances, the ones that only care about money would have jumped. It was his reputation and he wanted a long relationship with DMJ, I was a little disappointed, but I understood why. And they offered the fight again and said yes, and backed out and chose andrade. So who's to say that even with Shields consent, the fight would have happened a year ago.

Ask Showtime's Espinoza. He's so pumped up in that fight and was getting ready to make it. Only to be blocked by a trainer.

Yes, and here we were and they say no. What is your point? Just because SHO wanted to make the fight, it doesn't mean it would have happened. One year ago Shields say no and a couple of months ago benavidez say no. We are 0-2 so far.
