No he has been talkative with snarky remarks on Twitter that Benavidez and Demetrius are not facing the best instead of giving him the opportunity (along with judging the aftermath if he didn't delete the comment), he got bombarded with criticism that he hasn't done enough with 9 fights, with his next opponent not being that good.

He commented the night the fight happened, he stated "Then don’t say that I didn’t notice pure garbage.".

He also just texted yesterday that Jose Benavidez Sr is making excuses when he suggested he should fight Caleb Plant for the opportunity despite never fighting a World Champion before.

I don't care what anyone says. No way Morrell should catapult straight to a championship fight after 9 bouts. Let him pay his dues like everyone else. If he keeps his mouth shut and his eyes open, he might just learn something.

Fight was offered to Morrell last year after talking so much trash on Benavidez. Then he responded to the offer by saying his trainer don't want to rush him and he needed more practice fights. He took 2 practice fights, instead of one.

In boxing, you don't ignore opportunities like that as if things will always be the same. It changes in just a matter of weeks or months, like current champions getting beat, titles with new owners, not to mention injuries, personal issues outside of the ring, etc. Then there's the complexities of the boxing business itself, and now with Showtime exiting boxing.

I agree in principle but at Morrells age, he can’t afford to stay quiet. He needs to make a money fight ASAP. Clocks ticking.

I like the idea of a Morell/Plant fight but I don’t think it’s a big money fight.
