    The demise isn't about fighters.

They stopped showcasing ring girls and shamed them left and right.

They refused to embrace regular television broadcasts.

They saw DAZN show up and HBO got spooked (and didn't need to be).

Boxing needs a money mark, like Tony Khan.

The problem in America is that every time there is a merger the parent company borrows everything against the company they purchase and then sells off, closes or spins off anything that doesn't directly produce super HIGH profit. Frankly, there is a much, much, much bigger more diabolical game afoot and it's not just happening in boxing
A big company wants to make MONEY. No money on boxing no more. Thank the Divas of boxing.

Most top boxers these days are overpaid and underworked. Until that gets "reimagined" things won't improve.

SHO got tired of the PBC side shows and the over paying of guys who aren’t fighting the best. Yeah but Al paid his fighters. Yeah but he didn’t make the best fights when they were available. Tank is a so called star and hasn’t had a real fight yet. Sides shows. Al Kept things in house.

Boxing needs drastic changes across the board.

TR and Bob Arum are now the single largest global boxing network on the planet. ESPN is without equal. All Bob's going to do is wait for fighters to come to him because they have nowhere else to go.

Even if that special man that "knows how to promote certain fighters and to certain demographics" (absolute BS dog whistle, Hayman hasn't promoted anyone in his life, he's a manager) finds a network it's never going to have the same history or clout as Showtime. I realize you were all hopeful that Showtime was going to bury DAZN...everyone saw your posts. It didn't happen, showtime canned boxing just as Arum predicted. Black vs white keeps the weak at one another while the puppeteer picks your pocket and that works both ways. Snap the F%&* out of it, it's 2023 and EVERYTHING is about money.
You need to relax lol. There's this thing called nuance and when there's nuance, it normally means that MULTIPLE things can be true. Yes, money is always a driving force in decisions being made but that doesn't mean it's the SOLE reason for decisions. All the "isms" can be at play and some weight higher than others but best believe they are intertwined.

Also, I don't care about what promotor or network fails, you have me confused with those other idiots so please get your **** together if you're going to quote and respond to something I said. Look at my post history, I'm not some miserable fanboy peddling **** for engagement but I do live in reality and understand how the world works, and it's not the simplistic way that you suggest.

I have an idea, how about get rid of all the sanctioning bodies and have one true champion per weight class and make it the people’s champ. The fans that pay choose or vote for the rankings and based off that the first championship fight gets made by the 1-2 contenders and go on accordingly, also, no judges, just have a pole of a select few and I mean like 100 people that are all objective and have nothing to do with the decision of the fights decide the winners if they go 12. Or something to that extent I mean it’s all possible through the internet anyway. Why not?

Nothing will change unless promoters are banned from making contracts with individual athletes.

They have to be forced to bid on fights offered by broadcasters who buy rights to those fights offered by an international boxing union who are responsible for making the most exciting matchups (better fights = higher bids from broadcasters = better business). Broadcasters would subcontract the promotion of a fight, but if they are willing to do to the promo themselves, fcuk TR, GB, Matchroom, etc.

unionized fighters >>> boxing union >>> broadcasters >>> promoters

Kinda like the International Tennis Federation or Professional Golfers Association.

Fcuk the current sanctioning bodies. The union's championship would be the only thing that mattered.

Bob Arum started it all. The rest followed
