    1. Max out the remaining money, which is significant, and 2. Protect the legacy, which remains that of an excellent fighter who once captured the heart of a nation. There are opportunities to do both.

I believe (for whatever that's worth), that Wilder, Fury, Usyk, Hrgovic and Zhang represent dangerios fights for Joshua (or anyone for that matter), but among these, Wilder and his insane power represent the most dangerous for Joshua, stylistically. What advantages AJ enjoys there in terms of ring generalship and strength will never have a chance to get unpacked. Ideal fight for Wilder, and one worth sitting idle for if there's any hope of it transpiring from Wilder's perspective. a guaranteed win. Another good opinion is Hrgovic for a phony IBF belt. Best pathway to a title of sorts for AJ, as the big Croat has shown a few tasty vulnerabilities of late.

Fury, after he gets done with Ngannou and Usyk and collects his 200 mil, represents the biggest and most important fight available to Joshua. A bad KO loss to Wilder would diminish an all UK encounter with Fury, but it may not kill it in terms of big bucks interest, as this is a match long in comming, and stylisticly is not an out of the question opportunity for Joshua to hand in a career resurrection. There are lots of profitable options still for the big name heavyweights of the 2015 -2025 era.

That all sounds plausible, I just don't go in for the conspiracy theories the online boxing community seem so fond of. Seems a waste of time to enter phony negotiations for the sake of optics, sometimes fights just don't happen. Presumably if the Saudi money had been there the fight would have gone ahead.

Oh yeah, I remember now .. NOTHING.
I guess you could compare their performances against The Viking Robert Helenius. Wilder crushed him instantly like he did Breazeale AnotherJoshua fight, Joshua fought him on even terms through until the middle rounds and came away with a puffy face. That's what.

I very much agree. Posturing about negotiations that the posting fan was not a part of is a Supreme bore.

            - - AJ, Blubber, and the rest of the top 10 fighters turned down career purses to fight AJ in his American debut.

Let'em fight each other for peanuts.

Hrg is an easy fight for AJ to make as well as a big international fight to tick the turnstiles.

This has nothing to do with the question I asked.

Amazing how you're able to sum it up in three short sentences. Keep on posting bro.

queeny you do tend to like the boring boxers don't you. The klitschko sisters, aj and you hate entertaining boxers like fury and ali. Could you expand on why this is.
did you really like joe bugner? you must have hated max baer!! do you take valium to keep you calm in case you get too excited?

So, what are the rules of who can fight an eliminator? #9 and #12?

And Eddie must be BSing if he says AJ vs Hrgovic can be for the vacant belt then?

An almost retired Klitschko's manager denied Wilder the fight because Wilder wasn't worth enough money to risk losing Wlad to him. That same exact manager then signed Wlad to fight Joshua.

TF sense does it make for Shelly to keep Deontay, who could lose and come back at that time, away from Wlad, who is clearly at the end of his career? None, unless Wlad's Shelly's money too. Oh look, they shared managers ... hmmm.
