AJ set to DUCK wilder and fight Hrgovic for IBF instead

Eddie Hearn has come out and said they will now not look to make the wilder fight and instead look to fight Hrgovic for the IBF title. It’s funny cause Eddie Hearn said a couple months ago they didn’t want to fight Tyson Fury for the belts cause they have the ‘Deontay Wilder fight locked in’ which we now know was a blatant lie, and they want to fight wilder instead of winning the belts.

Personally, it was obvious Hearn never wanted to make AJ vs Wilder, but I can see how the way he talks how persuasive he is he has many people fooled. He’s been stalling this wilder fight for a long time and he finally has a way out now. He wants to put AJ in the easiest possible fights, it’s his main cash cow, he can’t risk it losing to wilder or fury and risk losing AJs value.

Eddie has remarked before that AJ would be joining the great Muhammad Ali in becoming 3 time champ if he beats Hrgovic. This shows everything wrong with boxing today. Ali became champ against Sonny Liston, George Foreman, Leon Spinks. AJ became champ against Charles Martin, Ruiz, Hrgovic, three stinkers of heavyweights.

But AJ vs Wilder is NOT happening.

AJ and Hearn are terrified of Wilder, scared to death. The fight was never going to happen because they know that AJ gets poleaxed, it was just use Hearn doing his usual trick of using Wilder's name to promote his crappy fights against Franklin & Helenius

Fury is the man AJ and Hearn wishes they could be.

Wilder is the known duck, AFAIK. He was called a baby by his own manager and was still not ready for semi-retired Klitschko when DW was in his absolute prime and popularity. He made $2 mil in the Luis Ortiz I, his highest purse. Whyte, backed by Hearn, offered him $4 mil, Deontay wanted $7 mil for an easy fight. He then was offered $12 mil for the AJ fight, went up to $16 mil, $18 mil, I don't remember, was sent the contract, Wilder's team made all kinds of excuses known to man and refused to sign. Hearn even had to send his dad to talk to that effeminate manager of DW, pat his shoulder, telling him everything will be okay.

What was actually said was the the IBF said they will call the winner of Fury/Usyk to fight Hrgovic after their fight.

Eddie thinks there's a rematch clause so Hrgovic/AJ will be called for the vacant title instead.

Just clearing up the click bait thread.

Re. ducking, I don't consider a title shot against Hrgovic a duck of anything (prefer the title shot to be against the winner of Fury/Usyk though of course)
Team Wilder could try to make the AJ fight if they wanted, get offers themselves, what are they doing exactly? - or even try make the Hrgovic fight for themselves. Whatever. All good fights. Make them happen.

Typical AJ/Hearns tactics. Mad how these muppets who back them can't see the obvious denominator in all of these instances of "ducking". Every time it's AJ who doesn't make the big fights, and every time it's the other camp's fault. Laughable! The same people cheering ULEZ and 20mph speed limits.

Hrgovic is a higher level fight than Fury's last 2 fights, and next fight.

Anthony Joshua is not even a Champion now, he is a contender etc.

Hrgovic is terrible and it’s exactly why Hearn wants AJ to fight him next, instead of the wilder fight, it’s an easy fight and easy path to becoming champion again. But the fans will know he DUCKED wilder

It is not a easy fight for Joshua, Hrgovic has been fighting at a higher level of late than Joshua.

                Zhang, Mckean.

                Franklin, Helenius.

The Zhang fight win or lose was competitive, and was a high level fight for Hrgovic.

Hrgovic is a World level fight for Joshua 'World level fight for both fighters, it is not a straight forward fight to call'.

If Wilder vs Joshua does not get made, then the Hrgovic fight is a really good fight etc.

No one is ducking Wilder. Everyone wants a piece of that meat.
Even 44 yr old Ortiz wants another shot. You're not fooling everyone.
