He’s just not that popular outside of Mexico.

Let's not forget the infamous "A side", "B side" crap, that we started hearing during and since the Floyd era. He may have helped pioneer a diva attitude among boxers, but he sure as hell didn't "save" boxing. Canelo learned from the best.

Don't forget this culture of part-time boxing that started with PBC. I don't remember witnessing it in any previous era. PBC should forever stand for Part-time Boxing Champs.

Nobody would have given a **** about Pac if it wasnt for people wanting to see him beat Floyd and comparing their performances against the same opponents. Thats why his first big PPV numbers came when he fought ODH and Hatton after Floyd did it.

Sellout stadiums in the southwest would say otherwise. What's the record attendance he had vs Saunders Cowboy's Stadium? Remind me. And I guarantee you nobody could match that record at that stadium. Paquiao who fought there twice didn't come close, not even Spence and he's from the Dallas area.

In Mexico, he has Super Bowl type views when he fights, in this country, which he's a foreigner with English as his second language, he's the biggest boxing attraction. When Gayweather fought, everyone tuned in to see him lose, except for the few Fl.omos masturbating to him, when Canelo fights, everyone watches him to see him win, except for the few remaining Fl.omos trying to hang on to old glory.

Ha look at who's talking. Floyd's career is over he did what he wanted to do.

Now its Canelo and these guys time, and all you doing is starting threads talking about how Floyd did and we need another Floyd.

No we don't let that cherrypicker's career stay in the rear view imo.

Floyd became a household name. The last boxer to really do that.

                    You should be more appreciative.
Naw I don't overpedestalize mediocrity like you do, and yes you are right.

With Mayweather, the buildup to the fight far exceeded anything he did when the bell rang.

                    Thats where everything went downhill.

Too much emphasis on money and ppv numbers, and not enough on fighting the best fighters in their prime.

Thats why that fool can't allow his up and coming fighters the chance to speak for themselves, he's too insecure about his career to allow it.
