Fury's destiny as a theoretical boxing great will be decided right here, against a former cruiserweight. As of now, things are not looking good for him.

Seems a lot more legit than Hearn saying AJ-Wilder was on for Dec only to backtrack once the Helenious fight was done with.
I hope this does happen and I'm still a little skeptical but would be glad to be proven wrong. I've always thought Fury beats Usyk if it happens and hopefully we'll get to see it.thack likes this.

But he's still a former cruiserweight. If Fury misses the beat here, his standing as a presumed boxing great is going to be diminished.

I think my money will be on Fury for this one assuming he comes in half prepared and not just for one last paycheck as he’s seemed more and more money orientated as his career has progressed.
People say Usyk’s ******nite is a shot to the body as both Joshua and Dubois hurt him there. Not sure I agree.
Fury is another step up from super heavy. Nobody is as big, as long and he can use that well. He out jabbed the jab expert Klitscho over 12 rounds and made it look easy. I think that little bit more range is going to make all the difference in this fight. That half step more for Usyk to cover to get in range in order to land. That will take a toll on his legs as the fight wears on. I suspect Fury will keep him at range over the first 6 until he begins to slow then bring his weight and size to bear, put in the odd uppercut and shot to the body and either stop him in the later rounds or edge it on points. Usyk will not find it as easy the side step out of range against Fury’s wide hooks. If Fury trains properly for it. That’s the unknown at the moment.
He comes prepared he wins it, he turns up solely for the paycheck Usyk will probably win over a static target on point.

both guys have been paid a lot of money to have a dance around in the ring to open the Riyadh Season
It'll be a glorified sparring session, a few light combos here and there to please the fans.
that's about it
