Fury made a mistake by waiting so long, now his win will have an astrix because Usyk was knocked out by a legal body shot his last fight and shouldnt even have the belts. He could have fought Usyk coming off his AJ wins.

Fury did offer to fight Usyk last December but Usyk said he wasn't ready. Then, the Skills Challenge guys wanted the fight in Feb but never had the money to make an offer. Then Fury offered to fight Usyk at Wembley at 70-30 split but Usyk walked away and signed with Skills Challenge. It was only when Team Fury got the Ngannou fight and built a relationship with those in charge of the Riyadh season that this came to fruition.

Will this have an asterisk? I think Fury will outbox Usyk, outpunch him, particularly with power punches, and maul him all in one fight. I think back-to-back camps will put Fury in great shape and the money will keep him motivated. The question of him not having the belts would have been relevant had Dubois had an otherwise close fight or not taken a knee. It remains to be seen how in comes back from this because so far he has only fought two names and taken the knee in both. We have already seen how beatable Joyce is. Because the only asterisk argument can be that Fury got lucky to fight Usyk for undisputed and had it been Dubois, Fury wouldn't have been crowned. Not even an argument at this stage.

This fight will happen. But don't expect it to be Dec 23rd. Cause when it doesn't happen Dec 23rd i know people will blame the teams that its delayed etc but remember neither team has said a date so nothing to delay if its not confirmed to be Dec, just Coppinger claimed could be Dec 23, it won't be so don't expect it to.

There are 2 reasons why, the fight is not happening within 2 months of Fury Ngannou. The Kingdom Arena is due for completion start of 2024 opening scheduled to be Jan 2024. My guess is it'll be March 2024 to close the Riyadh Season. Maybe Feb.

I think Bob confirmed that the current plan is to host it in the same venue as Fury Ngannou. The whole investment point is to get people to visit the Kingdom for tourism and Nov. - Feb. are the only feasible months for that. Nobody's going anyone outside in March so I believe it will be December or January.

I just remembered Ramadan starts around March 10. So it could be Feb or first week of March. If it happens Jan even better but it def aint happening on the coppinger rumoured dec 23 date they all ready have plenty going on for riyadh season that month and arena won't be complete. February is probably most likely
