Fury had a responsibility as a champion he lied to everyone and knew he was fighting Ngannou way before the Usyk negotiations , he actually deleted a tweet showing him admitting Ngganou was already decided on . No one on here holds a WBC works belt so the question is ridiculous in fact it’s suppose to be against ANY sanction body rules to fight anyone not ranked if you are a champion let alone a guy making a pro debut in boxing . Money didn’t change the rules unless I’m unaware a champion can fight someone not even ranked ?

Not to mention, as a title that exists solely in the minds of boxing fans, they're certainly going to remember that he got dropped, and arguably lost to Ngannou. The majority of the extra jabs he landed were in rounds he was winning anyways. The "swing" rounds were 2, in which he landed ONE extra jab, while Ngannou opened up a cut with an uppercut, and 7, in which Fury landed ONE extra jab, while Ngannou landed an extra power punch.

I've broken it down Rd by Rd, and if you want to believe Fury won that fight, it was on the strength of just one jab being weighed above damage done.

That's leaving aside possible point deductions for deliberate elbows from Fury.

If lineal were actually a big deal, it still doesn't matter because that title could easily belong to Ngannou now.

Sure, but a lot of this kind of "Fury lost that fight" flack is from the same haters who were on Fury’s ass about taking that fight.

Let's see what Ngannou can do with Joshua before we rush to judgment on anything regarding any of those fighters.

Whatever his condition and the flash knockdown wiping the knockdown by Cunningham and the Punching himsef in the forehead gif right off the front pages; and all the other things that piss people off with Fury; he won that Ngannou fight, and he wasn't trying very hard to.

I'm facinated to see what Ngannou and Joshua can do with each other. Its a great match in this moment.

Ngannou doesn't hold an advanced belt in any martial art. He's never had a Muay Thai match, a Judo match, or a Jujitsu match. He's never had a single Freestyle, Greco-Roman or Folk style wresting match. He knows no Karate or Taekwon-do.
He began fighting and winning in professional MMA fights in November 2013 under the tutelage of Fernand Lopez, and all he had ever done was Boxing. Lopez sought to quickly tack on the additional aspects of MMA, and his creation went on to virtually wipe out the best that MMA could offer, using Boxing as his base.
Those who beleive that Fury - Ngannou was Francis' intro to boxing are ill-informed to say the least.

I'm guessing that Joshua will handle the situation and that Fury could have too, had he taken his boxing- proficient opponent seriously. But Ngannou boxing is a walkover for nobody.

He most certainly did not clearly win that fight. I broke it down round by round. Can you do the same?

My breakdown:
Fury wins Rd 1.
10-9 Fury.

Fury outlanded Ngannou in 2 by one lone jab, but Ngannou did the damage, opening a cut with a punch. If you want to say that a jab outweighs a cut from a power punch, ok, you do you. 10-9 Ngannou,
19-19 Even

Ngannou takes 3 which is a 10-8.
27-29 Ngannou.

Ngannou outlands Fury in 4, beating him in both jabs and power punches. Note that the judges who gave Fury the win gave this round to Fury, despite him being outlanded in all scoring punches. 10-9 Ngannou,
36-39 Ngannou.

Fury wins 5 and 6. I thought 5 was closer watching it live, but I'm giving Fury the benefit of the doubt here since he landed more, even though I felt Ngannou landed the most impactful shots of the round. 10-9 10-9 Fury,
56-57 Ngannou

They're even in punches landed in 7, but Francis landed one more power punch, while Fury landed one more jab. That by rights should go to Ngannou, although two of the judges saw it for Fury. 10-9 Ngannou, 65-67 Ngannou.

Fury wins 9 and 10. Two of the judges saw 10 for Ngannou. 10-9 10-9 Fury,
94-95 Ngannou.

Final scores 94 Fury to 95 Ngannou, if you value power punches and damage over ineffective jabs. The relevant rounds that could make a difference you get to choose between one more jab landed for Fury vs damage done for Ngannou in 2, and one extra jab for Fury vs one extra power punch for Ngannou. That's leaving aside the point deduction for the illegal deliberate elbow.

If you flip 2 for Fury, on the strength of landing one extra jab, against the cut done by Ngannou, then Fury wins, unless he gets a point deduction from the elbow, which makes it a draw.

Crazy that there's an argument that Ngannou wins on points, and if Fury wins, it's on the strength of 2 extra jabs vs a cut and an extra power punch.

The narrative that Fury landed a bunch more jabs in most rounds isn't actually true. You can say Fury wins, but you have to do so on the strength of 1 jab per contested round IMO.

Thing is, we all know you're ridiculously biased in favor of boxing, and of Fury in general, this thread just being proof. I respect your knowledge, but I don't see how anyone can claim Fury clearly won that fight. I'd love to see you do as I did and break the fight down. I'm confident mine will stand up to scrutiny, even if you want to watch it on slow. There weren't that many punches. It's pretty obvious.
