Perhaps but it would be a great start for Ruiz if he did. It would give home more leverage and a bargaining chip at the negotiating table.

In other words; It would help boost both his brand and profile to put him in a position to demand a 50/50 purse split with Wilder.

I say this because there are currently no heavyweights
calling him out trying to fight him. The top three heavyweights in the division are Fury, Wilder and Joshua.

Andy Ruiz is not even in the conversation of being one of the top heavyweights in the world that other fighters want to fight.

I get that. Team Wilder was busy trying to tie up the loose ends for a potential Anthony Joshua fight.

They didn’t want any distractions or hindrances until that deal was completed. Getting Joshua in the ring was their number one priority at the time.

Now that it’s been accomplished; They feel free to pursue a fight with Andy Ruiz again.

        It doesn't really matter.

It's an ordered fight. In theory the teams need to negotiate or go to purse bids.

If there has been no indication of a purse split from the WBC (in the 6 months since it was ordered) then they've given the fighters no basis for negotiations.

Of course Andy shouldn't accept 30%. His purse bid split would have to be more that.

But the only reason any of this rubbish is being discussed is that the WBC aren't really trying to make this fight happen.

Andy needs to get himself KTFO twice by Tyson Fury if he wants a 50/50 split with Wilder.

At least he made history by winning a fight, rather than by getting KTFO and losing 3 times to the same guy.

I will be honest that 30% is more than what I expected. Whyte got 20% from Fury. I know different situations but 30% is more than fair for Ruiz and what he has done post the first Joshua fight.

I have already agreed that Ruiz is worth more than 30 percent of the purse split. I said Team Wilder should offer him at least 40 percent.

While the vast majority of boxing fans believe that he is entitled to only 35 percent of the purse split. However, that is only Team Ruiz side of the story.

We have yet to hear from Team Wilder’s side of the story. In any case, either one or both sides are not being truthful.

Moreover, one thing is clear to me and that is one of these teams don’t want the fight.

I agree that Ruiz needs to get knocked by Fury twice while the Gypsy King is hopped up on coke and juiced to the gills with PEDs.

In addition, while he is fighting him with his bare knuckle fists with deflated gloves on with no padding in them. Also, as he punches Andy behind the head repeatedly with illegal rabbit punches.

You are right mate. He’ll be more than worth 50 percent then.

What about the gimp suit that was too heavy for his legs to bear and his trainer spiking his water with sedatives then throwing in the towel just when he was about to knock Fury out? Do you think Andy could pull those off?

                    • I think the percentage should go more to who actually wants to train for their fights. Andy's showing against AJ in the rematch was an absolute joke. Talk about 15 minutes of fame. That dude shocked the world, only to look like a total chump in the rematch. Comes in disgustingly heavier and put in a walk through the park type of performance against AJ. He didn't care to try to go after him or get around the jab. I know AJ studied and played it way more safe in the rematch, but Andy did nothing this time around. It's almost like he conceded that his first fight was lucky and he wasn't supposed to win the rematch.

Wilder comes into every fight ready to take your head off and tip top shape. At least he has champion mindset. What I'm hearing moreso here is they want that retirement check and know that Wilder can potentially knock Andy out of heavyweight contention, so he might as well go out with a fat check so he can eat Snicker bars for the rest of his life.
