Jack has been fighting out of the middle east most recently and I imagine his piety and philanthropic work there and elsewhere probably makes him a fan favorite in that region.

Sure Jack is shopworn but he's tough as nails and will give it a go. I imagine he loses but he will go down fighting and won't get blown out.

Canelo gets a winnable, big money fight in an exotic venue and can claim he conquered the cruiserweight division. Jack gets his big money fight and the Saudis get their big event where a devout follower of Islam is part of the headline. May not be the fight I want to see but I understand why it makes sense to those involved.

I know what's happened. I'm just saying what should happen next. Ideally, he fights Benavidez, if he doesn't want to fight him he should rematch Bivol at 175lbs. He needs to try to make it happen, if he can't then if he fights Jack there should be no catchweight or rehydration clause bs and it should be for the title. But still, the fight he should really take is against Benavidez.

Before everyone gets all a dither here let's find out if Jack is just clout chasing or if Canelo's team has really started serious negotiations with them. A fight between Canelo and Jack just doesn't seem to make sense.

He will basically be 40 when the fight happens. Canelo and Eddie miscalculated badly here. They underestimated the backlash that will happen and took the boxing community for fools and did not realize they will see right through this charade. This will damage his legacy.
