Will A Win Over Roy Give Hopkins A Better Legacy Than Jones?

This argument has been done to death countless times. What do you mean by green? He had won, what, 22 in a row after losing his first bout? And then didn't lose again for another 10-15 years? Not to mention he was good enough to be ranked higher than Jones at the time the two fought.Comment

Bernard didnt lose a fight for 12 years AFTER Roy beat him... and became the MW champion, AFTER Roy vacated the division. And was also ranked higher then Roy in the division when they fought. This argument has been done to death countless times. What do you mean by green? Roy had more amateur experience, but as far as PROFESSIONAL career, Bernard was still ranked higher.Comment

We're discussing their professional careers. Regardless of how they came up, they both came up. Both were good enough to be ranked in the top two of the IBF rankings at the time they fought and Hopkins was #1.Last edited by IMDAZED; 09-30-2009, 09:15 AM.Comment

"You want to talk about flashiness and athleticism"
This is your way of discrediting? Proving Bernards career is better? Because Roy was "flashy" and Bernard was boring?
You don't see me saying... well, Bernard was boring so, that pretty much makes Roy better.
Bull**** reasoning and elementary debate.Comment
