Bernard didnt lose a fight for 12 years AFTER Roy beat him... and became the MW champion, AFTER Roy vacated the division. And was also ranked higher then Roy in the division when they fought.

Roy had more amateur experience, but as far as PROFESSIONAL career, Bernard was still ranked higher.
