Will a win over Roy Jones propel Hopkiins over Jones in terms of legacy?

He doesn't need it, but all he wants is revenge and it wont be the same because none of them are. It would be a bitter lost for Hopkins if Jones is some how able to beat him twice.
A lost Will really affect Hopkins not Jones.

I agree, if he loses twice that wont sit well.

Jones has something Hopkins, at this stage of his career, will never have. That's the willingness to risk his title, and go after other titles at different weight classes. Hopkins lived in a sheltered state at 160, not willing to move up or down to put his titles on the line, and that gives Roy a much greater legacy over B-hop.

No it won't. Bhop has aged better and continued to fight at the elite level while RJ gas fallen off. But even if he beats him now, RJ will still be remembered as gr8er than him.

Im confused, what do you mean? Hopkins risked his titles at middleweight just like Roy defended his titles.

Many see Hopkins as being the all roundgreater fighter. Jones was jst better prime for prime, but what you do when you are far out of your prime matters too. This is what made Ali the greatest HW ahead of Joe Louis.

exactly, at middleweight. Jones moved up to light heavy, won titles there, went several different weight classes and looked great, until tarver and jones, and by then he was on the downslope. all the weight shifting has its way of taking it's toll on a boxer. B-hop wont leave 160, that his downfall, because legacy wise, Jones portrays a better resume.

No i don't think so you saw what Roy was like vs elite comp vs Joe, he appears done, Joe was no spring chicken either. If Hopkins loses tho its a huge dent in his resume imo, im praying Jones can pull it off

Probably not. The only way this changes Hopkins legacy is if he loses.
