So who is the best HW and what major best vs best HW match up have MMA fans been robbed of? i'm assuming you are gonna say Jones/Ngannou, a fight that wasnt even realistically touted until last year. The last big no1 vs no2 match up at HW was Gane/Ngannou, which happened right on cue, and it was literally last ****ing year.

The ultimate irony is the only reason Ngannou isnt there is because of boxing. Namely that theres now a precedent for none boxers to walk into major boxing paydays and PPV fights based on their name alone. So Ngannou has it in his head, not even all that unrealistically, that Fury, the supposed no1 HW boxer on the planet, is going to box an 0-0 in boxing MMA fighter in between taking on world beaters like Del Boy and Shyte. But you're complaining that Jones fought the guy that lost a contentious decision to Ngannou (outlanding him in 4 of 5 rounds btw) a year ago when Ngannou/Gane was the biggest fight in HW MMA, instead of Ngannou himself, like its remotely close to the **** show in HW boxing where the two biggest potential boxing matches since Floyd/Pac and biggest HW fights by far since Lennox/Tyson never happened and now the fans are getting screwed over on Fury/Usyk as well...geez.

Jones/Reyes was the champ vs the top challenger, so yes, at the time it was considered the best vs the best. And the ultimate fight in that division in the last 10 years was Jones/DC, which happened twice. In the era before that it was Shogun/Machida, also happened twice, in the era before that it was Chuck/Randy, they had a trilogy.

Aljo/Cejudo is practically a dream fight between the current champ and the former champ (and two division champ) who never lost his belts in the cage. Not sure why you're using this as an example. Also the Spence/Crawford of that division was Aljo/Yan, which happened twice. So what fight in that division would you consider best vs best right now instead then?
