Joyce should take the immediate rematch with Zhang. I think he wins.

you're criminally over rating Parker, especially a 2022 version.

Joyce could beat Wilder, we don't know how Wilder is after those beatings Fury gave him. All we've seen is one minute v Helenius.

Prime Wilder takes Joyce's head off within 2 rounds. Say what you want about Wilder and his overall skill set but he's extremely good at closing range fast and landing hard and accurate right hands against fighters with limited defence.
Well, Bivol also looked bad against Richards, but he still beat Canelo, so you are not really making valid points here.

And prime Wilder is not around.

I can just comment true fights. Not how Fury and Wilder destroy everybody, because these guys don`t really fight anybody recently.

Joyce should take the rematch immediately. At his age, he doesn't have time to build back and position himself at a nice spot.

His best bet would be to get back to his normal weight and focus on defense and up the pace. Go for the body (liver, kidney) shots and make himself the smaller man, i.e., fight like Sanchez, Franklin, etc. as it will be difficult for Zhang to hit him lower with the same frequency and accuracy. Zhang cannot sustain pace and gasses out easily.

I think Wilder blows his head off.
Well, not getting the swole eye might be the only thing he actually needs lol

Zhang was breathing heavily in round 2 already. If it wasn't for the eye, ZZ would've eventually punched himself out and gassed. Joyce would've taken over from there and win a decision

He will most probably lose again Joyce looked pretty bad yesterday i had him winning by round 7 how mistaken i was. He doesn't have much of a choice though long way back up at 38 and nobody else is gonna give him a free shot.

i do think he bought into the idea he's some terminator though but you're not getting away with having no defence at world level heavyweight boxing.

He's been going into fights with the tactic of absorbing power punches with his face. He's even bragged about it.

I don't know if he's dumb but he's certainly not smart.

"Everyone has a game plan until they punch me in the face and nothing happened" - Joyce

Well, Zhang punched you in the face and something happened. On to the next idiotic catchphrase, Joyce. Maybe something different than catching punches with your face as your only defense.

It seems like he fell in love with his chin, listened to to hype too much. Fair enough his chin is very solid but you can't be taking damage because you can take a shot.

It's kinda like Canelo, I think he's bought into this hype he's some huge puncher. He isn't and never was. He's a solid enough puncher, but most of the fighters he's actually put on the floor properly are guys that have been knocked out at lower weights. But he bought into this narrative he is some one punch knockout artist and started fighting with a lot of single shots and i think it's made him a lesser fighter.

I think similar has happened with joyce. He bought into the narrative he's some immovable object and pretty much abandoned the notion of game plans etc.. you can't do that at heavyweight world level.

Joyce's defence has never been great but hes actually used it a bit in the past, like the Dubois fight.

Has anyone considered he might just be fading quickly? Some people decline very fast. He's taken a lot of shots in his career, its gonna start catching up with you, even if it's slower reactions etc. He took a lot of shots in the Parker fight, its all accumulation.

Even aside from the eye injury, he looked like an old faded fighter last night. He usually has decent feet etc.. but none of that was there.

big joyce fan but yeah he was exposed really, i thought there was an extra gear there or he would be more responsible defensive wise like he was against dubois (not saying he was mayweather but wasnt just eating clean shots over and over again) but he looked dreadful, guy is too old to change much, even if he wins against zhang hes not going to beat fury/joshua/wilder, looking at that wilder especially would clean him out in a round

I think Big **** is just to good for Joyce. That said, if he can manage to survive maybe 8 rounds without to much damage he has a shot. For me, Joyce is just far to stiff for Big ****.

I think it's winnable for Joyce and he should definitely take it.
Joyce needs to get closer to Zhang and try to take centre ring. He was a sitting duck at mid range on the outside.
