On top of that, based on the fact that Zhang was wearing down and getting tired, and slowed down significantly.

On top of that, based on the fact that the chances of getting that kind of damage to the eye in the rematch is not very likely.

Bare in mind one judge had him ahead, two others had Zhang just one point ahead.

Zhang was definitely feeling the pace.

I agree about the pace getting to Zhang but Joyce just gets hit clean way too much. I'm not comfortable picking him over a fighter that punches like Zhang if he going to get hit that much. If he could avoid at least half of those left hands I could see him wearing Zhang down. But that's a big and unlikely "If."

He might as well take the rematch. I'm just not sure what can be done differently. He's slow and doesn't move his head. He's a sitting duck for the left. Outside of not getting a swollen eye, I don't know what else can be done.

Yeah that’s true. He’ll get hit and he’ll get hurt.

I still think though if he can avoid that kind of eye damage he can see out the first 6 and take over on the second half.

Bad stoppage imo considering Joyce is known for his durability and how he breaks people down over time. Yet they stop the fight at the halfway point.

I think Joyce was shocked that he could be hurt. His punch output in the first two rounds showed that. He **** his pants - which is understandable because he never thought he could be hurt.

A rematch won't necessarily be different, but at least Joyce now knows he can be hurt. He would come in with the plan to be active throughout, push the piece, and hope he can take Zhang into the later rounds.

Zhang is like 40 so he don't have much time for rematches and all that, he should be looking to cash in on this big Upset with a big match and big opportunity and no I'm not talking about fighting Dillian Whyte or Chisora Hell No, he need to be looking for a shot at Wilder, AJ, Fury, Usyk one of those guys if possible for the most money possible

He was also stopped 2 other times in the first round a a 27 year old amateur with headgear so Joyce's chin isn't as good as the clueless casuals (not you I am talking about these other people) think. Joyce has slow hands, which is why he could barely land against Zhang even though Zhang was right in front of him and Joyce has no defense so anybody who throws punches will land them.

Zhang's sneaky left was landing as expected but he showed signs of fatigue as Joyce started coming on. Zhang was lucky that Joyce's eye closed up cuz he was started to get outworked.
