Joyce should take the immediate rematch with Zhang. I think he wins.

If he can learn some defense, then I am all for it. I say that because he has a tendency of eating way too many punches and it is beginning to catch up to him. In addition, his punch resistance appears to be a bit overrated.

Tonight he showed that if he is in with a very strong puncher; He is vulnerable and can be hurt. Bone density doesn't mean damn thing if you are getting continuously hit by a stronger puncher and don't move your head or guard your face from big punches.

The Juggernaut got exposed here tonight by Zhang.

Zhang didn't necessarily expose anything we didn't already know about Joyce. We know Joyce has porous defense and a willingness to take punishment in order to dish it out. Joyce's style is not going to work against every opponent, especially a tall southpaw with a 22lb weight advantage.

Bare in mind one judge had him ahead, two others had Zhang just one point ahead.

Zhang was definitely feeling the pace.

Zhang could not miss with that left hand, looked like every single straight left he threw landed.

From what I recall, he landed some nice right hooks as well.

Joyce has got to get better defensively. It's as simple as that. He's as slow as molasses as well.

Joyce didn't really win more than maybe a couple rounds and he was getting hit way too much. He's not going to be able to change his style in a short time, and his defensive problems are a style issue.

His post fight ring interview made me a fan of his. That's a straight dude right there.
