Comments Thread For: Usyk's Promoter: Even if Oleksandr Got Zero, It Would Still Not Be Sufficient For Fury

Frank Warren admitted that the rematch clause was only there because Fury asked for it. That's all anybody needs to know.
Buddy if Usyk was sure he would win why would he want a rematch???
I already explained why.
A) Fury is still a big draw and would continue to be a big or the biggest reason people show up to the rematch even after losing.
B) A rematch with Usyk results in Fury missing out on AJ or Joyce fights that would give him a bigger paycheck than Usyk. In case you haven't noticed money is more important than belts.
C) It's not guaranteed money. Like I mentioned before. All this bravado is bs. Why did Usyk want a rematch? Why deny a fair 50/50 split? If you actually read this article you would clearly see Usyk backed out for no reason.Comment

He keeps saying that if Usyk's title belts matter, then he would have been able to negotiate himself a bigger split in his rematch with AJ. He can't seem to get his head round the fact that Usyk didn't have any belts when he negotiated that rematch split.
Or maybe he thinks that after he beat AJ, Usyk could just say .. "OK, I'm the champion now, so I want a bigger share of the purse in our rematch".Last edited by kafkod; 04-05-2023, 05:44 PM.Comment

He asked for it at the start of negotiations. It was gone after the 70/30 split. Usyk wanted it after.Comment
