I think Tank vs Isaac Cruz is more likely to happen than the Ryan fight. I thought I heard Davis saying he wants to do something different in the Pitbull rematch.
Did people really believe Tank vs Garcia was happening?

Time to put your clown make up onNo offence, but you had to be real gullible to believe that was happening in April.
When promoters, fighters, managers etc say a fight is “agreed” it means f*** all. Unless a fight is signed it’s not happening.
The whole announcement was just about publicity, it never felt serious, it was similar to the Fury-AJ bullsh** we’ve seen in the past.
The media deserve some blame too. These supposed “journalists” tweeting about the fight being “agreed”, “done” etc are idiots and should know better. Too many people in the boxing media worry about being first rather than about being right.
Now the fanboys will argue over who ducked who when the reality is: Tank didn’t duck Ryan and Ryan didn’t duck Tank because it was never happening to begin with. Some Boxing fans never learn man…Comment

You do realise are discussion was based on you saying Garcia “backed out” and me telling you he couldn’t have backed out as he was never committed to the fight as he had never received a contract- which was evidently true as he only received the contract last night.
As for the the fight happening or not, I really hope I’m wrong and it does happen but I’m still very skeptical.Comment

There are a few good guys left but the vast majority are idiots man. It’s announcements about announcements about announcements. Social media era I guess but it’s very misleading we’ve seen it recently with Spence-Crawford and Fury-AJ, hopefully this doesn’t end up the same way.Comment

The fact he’s plastering it all over social media is worrying. Makes me think it’s a PR stunt. Why would you post a multi-million dollar contract on Instagram?
It is Oscar though, he’s a weird cat.Comment

It’s today’s way to do business
Everything is done on social media
Youtubers challenge each other on social media and it gets done so ......
Back in the day we had matchmakers , to the point where you knew their names Todd le Bœuf , Goodman , Trampler just to mention a few
I can’t think of one today
Promoters play all the facets of the game and boxers are on social media
Just the way the cookie crumbles

It frustrates the hell out of me. Even if you go back a couple of years ago it was so much more streamline. I’ll use Mayweather-Pacquiao in 2015 as the example, they entered negotiations, things went quiet, then the fight was officially announced for May a few weeks after.

Nowadays, we get an announcement saying they’ve entered negotiations, an announcement saying they’ve “agreed terms”, then an announcement of the unofficial date, then an announcement saying a contract has been sent and then finally we might get an official announcement about the fight. It drives me mad.
