People who bring this tweey up are ******.

And the only reason you do is cause eddie wrote, look at this tweet he admitted duckin aj

    No he didn't
All that tweet says is what we knew. That they did not take dazn offer. So why the hype around the tweet? Cause eddie told u so

he was gettin lowballed in dazn offer
aj wasn't even guaranteed dazn didn't even have aj signed to be making offers with a guarantee
and it was all ready news that dazn were not giving them answers to qiestions they were asking and a bunch of other things so those negotiations got nowhere

Blatant PR stunts, just like a told you all with Fury-Joshua being “agreed” for the millionth time. You guys really need to wake up and smell the coffee man.

Anyway I’m done being in the middle of this pointless argument. Enjoy wasting your own time guys. I’m sure this thread will reach 10 pages in no time.
The offer I'm talking about here is the DAZN deal offered to Wilder by John Skipper. That was not a publicity stunt.

Bullshit. There was no offer sent to Wilder after AJ won his titles back. And even there was, that would just be more evidence that Hearn and AJ were the ones who wanted the fight and Wilder was the one doing the ducking, so you are arguing against your own agenda there.

          Bullshit.

I read a tweet from Finkel himself telling Hearn that AJ needed to accept the money first if he wanted to know the terms of the deal.

When DAZN tried to get Wilder to sign, DAZN only had Joshua signed for his next fight (Miller, which turned into Ruiz). So DAZN had no legal right to promise Wilder a Joshua fight, because like you confirmed, DAZN didn't have any contract with Joshua beyond his next fight.

So there was no reason to fight Breazeale on DAZN when DAZN had no ability to guarantee that Joshua would fight Wilder.
Did Andy Ruiz have a contract with DAZN when he fought AJ twice on the app?

No? So you think he must have been fighting on a handshake then?

Like I said before, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about here. AJ signed with DAZN in June this year. Before that he had exclusive contracts with Matchroom and Sky. Jeez mate, have you been living under a rock?

"So there was no reason to fight Breazeale on DAZN when DAZN had no ability to guarantee that Joshua would fight Wilder."

"Under the contract terms contemplated by DAZN, if Joshua lost or was otherwise unavailable to fight Wilder, Deontay would have received a $40 million purse from DAZN to fight the best (in terms of marketability and skill) available opponent in each of his next two fights. It would have been DAZN's responsibility to deliver Joshua or another opponent."

Well hold on, it kind of was a publicity stunt because DAZN didn't have the right to offer a Joshua fight and were essentially just trying to trick Wilder into fighting Breazeale on DAZN.

There absolutely was, a lowball flat fee offer as usual. Just like Hearn made an offer heading into Usyk-Joshua II.

Yes, they wanted the fight once Joshua was knocked out, when Joshua had no marketable opponent and they wanted to block Wilder-Fury II from happening. But it's not ducking to fight the tougher fight, which everyone agrees Fury was.

When Joshua and Wilder were both undefeated though, Joshua ducked the fight repeatedly.

Ruiz didn't own the show. Joshua was on a fight by fight contract with DAZN and DAZN couldn't, by your own admission, guarantee a Joshua fight to Wilder. DAZN only had the rights to Joshua's next fight (Miller/Ruiz) and nothing more.

Short compact story because there are many nuances that will get me to post a lengthy paragraph, so I will keep it very simple. Wilder wanted the fight after AJ beat wlad, but AJ didn't want it. Hearn instead wanted wilder to sign some unrealistic multi fight deal without pbc that was not even a guarantee that the fight with AJ will happen, knowing that wilder will reject it so that they can say wilder ducked. Dumb fans ran along with it.
