If you can get a 40% cut or 45% cut that will make you 30 million in one fight vs. fighting someone else where your cut is 65+% that will make you a lot le$$ because of your opponent......someone might cave to the offer of the lesser percentage which holds the greater amount of money in the one fight.
damm boy your right again,i agree with you and nicely put

The only way a Floyd/Shane fight doesn't add to Floyd/Pac is if PBF loses. Other than that both guys would have preceded their showdown by beating the two best welterweights out there right now. If you can't understand that I don't know what to tell you.

But nobody can deny the facts and that is the PPV numbers and seats that are filled when he fights. Even if you look at the opponents, like JMM, when has JMM done the numbers that Floyd has done?

        Which fight sells more tickets:

Floyd vs. Pac or Pac vs. Shane?

Floyd's numbers (so far) prove he is the better draw. Hatton, Goldy, and now JMM (but I'll wait until I see the PPV numbers in ink). We'll see what Pac does with Cotto. If he can generate big numbers and it shouldn't be any tougher than Floyd vs. JMM because Pac is fighting a Puerto-Rican/Cotto...than he has more of an arguement.
I think Floyd don't have that much fans as others. But by the way Floyd talks and pick ups his opponent he generates lots of haters. And those haters are willing to pay ppv to watch floyd lose.

So you are saying a FMJ/PAC fight doesn't push the 2.4 mil buys the FMJ/DLH did without him fighting SSM? I understand you are a Mosley fan but he is NOT needed in any equation to make that fight big. I understand where you are coming from but the 'casual fan' could care less IF they had just beat the 2 best welterweights. Look at the early numbers of the PBF and JMM fight it did over 800k and counting. Doesn't look like anyone cared he was fighting a LW who pack on a few pounds.

Cotto is a legit welterweight threat, Marquez wasn't. If Cotto beats Pac Floyd needs him or Mosley to establish legitimacy as one of, if not the best welterweight.

                      Pressure

Roach is doing all this talking but Pac/Cotto better do well financially to back up these claims, that 24/7 better be entertaining, another 4 episodes of Pacquiao praying for a win is not going to cut it. Maybe they'll do "2fighters 1cup", since the urine thing worked so well for Marquez.
